So lucky Somi has 3 passports that are strong enough. And actually Dutch passport is my dream to have it. There's sense of pride when your passport says 'European Union' there. So proud to have dutch descent artist like Somi has big name abroad. Dutch diaspora are talented.
But can she keep them all? I thought South Korea doesn't allow its citizens to have other citizenships, and if someone has got others earlier, he/she must give up either the Korean citizenship or any/all other citizenship(s) when reaching certain age.
@@tbgrandprixengineering What does other countries' regulation have to do with a country's citizenship conditions? If one country doesn't allow its (adult) citizens to have other citizenships, and makes them to choose at certain age to either forfeit that country's citizenship or any/all other citizenships, what could the possible other countries do about it?
@@enginerd80 The only countries I know that is very strict when it comes to their citizenship status are Japan and China. Considering the diversity of South Korea at the moment, I think they are still not in that 'stage'. I have friends who have 2 or more passports being descendants of different nationality and theirs are not yet revoked.
@@pyroglyphiesi know a korean descendant by mother whose father is latino, not korean and because he was born before 1995 he can’t get the korean passport while his sibling born after 1995 could get it… so korea rules are debatable
I have an odd path to becoming a fan of Somi, as I did not become her fan from kpop. I was actually a fan of her Dad from my years in Taekwondo. I became a fan of her's also from TKD. She is such a bubbly person and so outgoing and welcoming if you let her. It is sad that she received negatives from people due to her heritage when she was younger. She is a real gem of a person! Go Somi!
I relate to Somi! When my mood is great I love to spread that good energy around too and I am rather outgoing but I end up having a very flat social battery once I get home... oops
I really hope all celebrities have the same personality as Somi, others make it as an excuse that their agency or manager doesn't want them to take pictures with fans when they are already popular, they are all just snobs and feel entitled, but Somi knows what her fans want and do her best to interact with them.
I recently found out that each agency have different contracts. The contract states what they can and cannot do. Luckily, somi’s contract is more flexible!
It's unfair to call others bratty and entitled when they're more than likely just following a strict contract. I think alot of fans forget that idol contracts exist and that alot of them are ridiculous and restrictive af which is why most of your idols are more free and relaxed after the contracts ends and they go solo and even change companies so don't do daft.
About the korean passport, i know a person who’s mother is korean and father is not and because he was born before 1995 he could not get the korean passport while his brother born after 1995 could because rules were changed and people born after certain year can get the passport regardless of mother or father being the only one korean. Korea immigration system is very retrograde… should update such silly rules. Moreover because this person wants to live in korea and has the perfect age to start a family which korea needs 🤷🏻♀️
Somi has such a positive vibe about her, its a shame that the Interview she did on Margot Robbie and America Ferrara was so scripted and boring. I think its because Somi wasnt allowed to ask her own questions and joke around with the 2 actresses like she wanted to, Let Somi be Somi!!!!
That woman in the 0:40 trying to bring somi down telling her moves is something kids would love to see😂 she's soo jealous help LOL🤣🤣🤣🤣 AND insecure for sure ( pretty much) and not confident
