Hi Everyone. I am back due to popular demand to play another track featuring the incredible voice that is Jonathan Antoine.
You wanted me to play this popular song covered by many of the Worlds past and present renowned Tenors and Ballad singers in the world. I react and compare to the others. As always I know this young man can surprise even the unexpected- like me! Let's react together. I hope you enjoy this video.
Jonathan Antoine is an English classically trained tenor. He rose to fame after appearing on the sixth series of Britain's Got Talent in 2012 as one-half of the classical duo Jonathan and Charlotte. He subsequently went solo, and his debut album Tenor was released in the UK on 13 October 2014, his follow-up Believe was released on 19 August 2016.
On 15 September 2018, Jonathan performed his first solo concert in the United States at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza California, in the Fred Kavli Theatre and in June 2019 he performed at the Winter Garden Theatre in Canada in a three-part concert entitled Beyond the Curtain where he performed Disney songs, American Songbook classics and Opera arias including performing "Nessun Dorma" publicly for the first time.

Being Italian myself I can honestly say Johnathan pronounced those Neapolitan word perfectly.. it’s not an east accent to speak .. he’s the next,Pavarotti in my,opinion… God has blessed him with a beautiful gift … I wish him all the best in life and hope he realizes that God is making him use that gift to make people happy … all I can say is…. WOW!

Oh me too, I've loved Jonathan ever since I watched him on BGT when he was only 17yrs old with his friend Charlotte & now look at him, he is magnificent. I listen to him every single day & I credit him with helping me get through the pandemic. Wonderful young man.

Jonathan came along just in the nick of time. Our crazy wounded world and we have our wonderful Jonathan, he is in my opinion the greatest tenor ever as far as the richness of his voice. and the fact that he can sing anything even Moon River. Love this young man.

Jonathan is a category by himself, . He has the vibration of a healing voice. I agree with thousands of other people who believe that no matter how great or talented performers have sung caruso or other famous opera songs, Jonathan delivers to the audience a very powerful tender passionate and at the same time masculine voice especially when he reaches some high notes he fullfills every expectation of the soul. This ultimate satisfaction and joy is so dence in emotion that you start crying to be relieved. I think Jonathan is a gift to people at this difficult time humanity faces with the coronavirous e.t.c. Iam Greek so I think like Greek and I have to mention Pythagoras who established the notes and Geometry and secret numbers etc propably many of you know him. He had said that the sound of our voice is the vibration of our soul. Maybe thats his secret.

I love your analysis of Jonathans interpretation of Caruso.He is the young man that made me finally listen to music, I have never really ever listened to music, never had a favourite genre or singer, until Jonathan. From his first appearance on BGT I have become a fan not only of Jonathan and his voice, but of opera, only because of him. I am 68 and have never been in to any type of music but I listen to Jonathan Antoine every day, he lifts my spirits.

Your comments and some of your replies to comments posted lead me to believe that you 'get' who Jonathan is and what he is capable of sharing through his singing. I have been an ardent fan since hearing him in 2012. I too was at both his concerts in Toronto in 2019 and I had attended his 1st North American concert in Thousand Oaks, California in 2018. He did Unchained Melody as an encore at that performance for the first time in public. His live performances were magical! Go see him in concert at the first opportunity...you need to hear him live.

I love that you feature Jonathan so often I could listen to him all day/ Not only does he have a beautiful voice and a fantastic range but we hear his heart as well in every note he sings and this young man has a heart of gold. I have listened to many tenors in my 75 years but never like Jonathan and many of the tenors could never sing some of the songs that Jonathan can, Moon River, Baby Mine etc.

I just found your wonderful reaction We were very fortunate to be in the audience for both of his Sold Out concerts in Toronto, 2019. People travel from all over the world to attend his concerts. We met people from across Canada, the US ( we flew in from Portland Oregon) the family next to us from San Diego Calif. Many had flown in from the UK, Denmark, Europe, Mexico, and even as far away as Australia! I don't know why he isn't more famous, but that is changing. He has an incredible following, which grows bigger every year. If you ever have a chance to hear him live, don't miss it. By the way, people do cry in the audience, as well as throw roses on the stage as he sings!

I just watched an live Stream Jonathan just done, and in it he mentions Caruso. he said it was one of the most difficult ones to learn. he does not speak Italian. but yet his pronunciation of it is spot on. but he learns the verse as perfect as he can with the proper Italian linguist's etc. so that he understands the passion of the words and what he is singing. and the best yet! is that he has the voice to carry it off. I grew up listening to the Original Caruso. in my youth. I find passion, skill, talent. in this beyond my expectations. ECF

I have been saying for that the power and tonal qualities, plus range are equal or better than the great Luciano Pavarotti was at the same age. Jonathan Antoine will be the next great tenor!!! He needs to really consider more performance in the true Opera performances. I think he is apprehensive because there is a lot of acting involved but his emotions that shows through in the magic that is his voice are already there.

Absolutely agree 100 percent. He displays such emotive singing prowess. The only singing artist like him is Lara fabian for this way of deep expressionism when she sings her songs. Johnathan's gift is his voice penetrates the soul and makes you appreciate that God has given us a tenor to savor for many years to come. So ill be busy reacting always. His new Album which is pending is going to go down in history as a masterpiece of musical delights. He is profoundly humble, but yes, more opera houses need his talent.

Please please look at his home recording of Nessun Dorma, I always believed Luciano Pavarotti was untouchable in that. Others were good but Luciano was exceptional and when he died I believed we would never hear Nessun Dorma as majestic as his version...Then came Jonathan. I cant listen to Jonathan's recording without crying, and for a fifty-five-year-old man I hate to admit that,

People were standing, crying, cheering, and throwing Roses on the stage as he sang! So many great videos from those concerts, Compass (this song got me thru 2020) Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Empty Chairs at Empty tables, Summertime, Moon River, and more. People travel from all over the world to attend his concerts.

Thank you for telling the story behind the song. I always felt the emotion when hearing Jonathan sing it, but didn't know the story. Now it all makes sense. I first heard Jonathan sing on the night of his audition performance with Charlotte. Literally 4 notes in I was reaching for the box of tissues! I am 65, a vocalist and have heard many beautiful voices, but have never heard a voice as beautiful as Jonathan Antoine's. His range, tone, sense of pitch, connection to the song's story and his ability to sing multiple genres with equal ability - well suffice it to say, I have been a fan since that first hearing.

Thank you for the back story, didn't know that. I really like your reaction and comments to Jonathan! I felt the same - was nervous beforehand because I thought nobody could kill this song like Pavarotti - I love his voice SO MUCH and especially when he sings in Italian he is unmatched.... But Jonathan was fantastic, it sounded so easy for him, nothing to worry about... It is so stunning, I followed the series of Britains got Talent (on RU-vid) when he and Charlotte stepped the first time on this big stage, he had such a hard time and was without any confidence - and now look at him, how he'd overcome all that and has become such a wonderful man on stage with a most beautiful tenor voice! I am so happy for him! Sometimes these shows give indeed some talents a chance and a break for their lifes.... Jonathan grabbed his chance.

Once Jonathan begins to sing, lyric and melody are no more than a distraction to me. My ears want nothing more, nothing other, and nothing less than the sound he creates. Each note is beautiful in itself and the sequence does not matter. Each note falls on my ear as luminous and perfectly formed as if a pearl had dropped into my hand. I want to hold them all

It's hard to put into words the beauty of this young man's voice and how he seems to live what he sings. It draws you in and makes you feel what the song is about. One of his best performances is Empty Chairs and Empty Tables fro Les Miserables. It is beautiful and mesmerizing.

Newest Music Video, Jonathan singing "lo Si/Seen" per Grammy award winning Diane Warren's request! He sings the harmonies too. Beautiful!!! It debuted at #1 on itunes Classical Chart. There is a wonderful video from 2010 of Jonathan singing "Ava Maria" in a Church when he was just 15 years old, his hair was a bit shorter then. That video has over 5 million views. "lo Si" was filmed in that same beautiful Church.

Still hoping for "Io Si/Seen" per Grammy award winning composer Diane Warren's request! He sings the harmonies too. BEAUTIFUL!!! It debuted at #1 on itunes Classical Chart. Also, "Summertime" and "Moon River" from his Sold Out 2019 Toronto concerts, filmed for American PBS TV.

Pavarotti actually didn't sing it so well in his younger days. As he got older, he sang with a lot more depth and feelings but screamed or shouted at times. Jonathan sings the song with a lot more passion with a more refined voice.
