At this point I hope they won't release Generals 2, I'd probably be a massive letdown judging by how awful the gaming industry has become. I'd be nothing like the original, full of microtransactions with a battlepass and pay2win units bundled up in a combination of 3 different online services that crash constantly. Don't get me wrong I get your sentiment, I'd want nothing less either, but I think generals should be left as it is unless an actual passionate team of people could make it instead of EA games..
@@MrRed_2205 you got nothing to worry cus they killed this game long enough that the demand for a new installation is far gone, only thing they can do is keep remastering older games and even that’s a fuckin stretch, I was surprised they even did a remaster. I’d only hope for RA2 remaster.
@@jonathany1240 it's still depends tbh,if you tend to use flyer and artillery SnD is more useful but if you fighting hands on with tank and soldier Bombardment is better. Got a free artillery too so can help defend by a bit
@@therrogue1193 I am more talking about in competitive scenes of patched zero hour and the fan remakes. The extra range of SnD is crucial with wining rocketvee fights. Also, iirc the strat centre buffs only apply to ground units so flyers aren't buffed.
It's strange how the developing brain of a child/young adult memorizes these tiny details to perfection. Like, to this day I can recall the death sounds of infantry dying to anthrax or all of the angry mob sound effects.
For so many years, that’s haunted me for not knowing! After doing some digging, I found his applied speech. I finally know what the words meant now, and it only took me 20 years to learn them! 😭 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YaRV_AiWxao.html
@@kiwoongpark9377 @kiwoongpark9377 US command center is truly sound of an HQ while chinese ones sounds like in 1966 Mao's cultural Revolution while GLA well militants chanting?
I still remember when my older brother got Zero Hour back on Christmas of 2003. He figured out how to plug his computer into our TV and showed it off to me and my younger sibling. Going from Red Alert 2 to this blew our minds away and I remember loving the design of all the buildings from the get go. C&C is just an awesome franchise.
The strategy center scary sound captures perfectly the idea of a high-tech armed force that uses the most cutting edge computarized technology for its military intelligence, like a Skynet, at the point of semi-onipresence. Love it!
Finally I've been looking for the Generals building sounds for a few years. But now i found it. Thank you for making this video. Also can you do Rise of the Reds Russian and ECA building sounds
Probably because their sound reflect how heavily the US military utilizes computer tech in many of its operations. GPS, satellite communications, intelligence, drone control, smart weapons, ect.
@@airplanenut89 Play the original C&C: Generals (THE original, not Zero Hours) and play as USA in Skirmish. The building will be available for the dozer like the other regulars building. For the campaign mode. You'll unlock this building in the 5th Mission.
Does someone know about the chinese command center melody? Is it a traditional meldoy or just made up for the game? I grew kind of fond of it and would really like to kow..
0:31 It's a classic Chinese folk song called Shi Wu De Yue Liang. We still can't trace the original source of this sample yet. The same soundbyte was used in Beavis and Butthead episode "Foreign Exchange".
