I first heard of Pastor D. Brooks while in the military in Germany. A fellow soldier was listening to one of his sermons in a small cassette player while we were in a field training exercise. The title of the sermon was "Who Changed the Sabbath". I was very impressed by the powerful message of the sermon, that he gave the cassette to me. I kept the cassette in my car which had a cassette player and I listened to it when I needed to hear a good message. I still have the cassette tape. Pastor Charles D. Brooks was a very eloquent speaker with a powerful voice that commanded attention when preaching his sermons. May he R.I.P. in the glory of God.
When I approached Pastor Brooks one Sabbath after service, I was touched by his humility and sincerity as he spoke to me. It was as if he had known me as a friend. I listen to his messages constantly and I thank The Lord for giving us him for what seems to me a short period of time. Can’t wait to see him in glory.
