That trailpath looks absolutely stunning and very much like the canal paths going through France on continued functioning and still used canal locks there, though I imagine what a mess it might be if the weather was rainy! I read on an official park guide that the campsites were 'gratis, but first come first served'. Were you able to get that reduced fee for a single pitch? Your posting shows as November yet you mentioned sweating profusely and 95 degree heat. Was this late summer? Heck yeah! I would do this if my work were nearby! 🚲
The campsite was free and about half occupied when I showed up. There were no park rangers or anyone else managing the site that I could see. Just found an open spot with a picnic table and setup the tent. A few more people showed up around sunset and I think site was about 75% full then. The video was shot in August and it was in the mid 90s. Going to do this a few more times this year in the spring and late fall when it’s cooler. Thanks for watching.
@@JimAdventures... Nifty! I have nothing against Park Rangers. My only encounter was last minute sunset on the PCH where one pulled up and kindly showed me how to use the machine to pay for the pitch. Ran into a private glamsite earlier and balked at the cost (90 bucks !) to their credit, they actually informed me of the Nat'l Park site that only cost 10 bucks. (running water, pay showers) You're soo lucky to have such a trail vista right in the way of your job! Enjoy!
lol. No motor dude. It’s this bike that I built from the frame up: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1wYh_ZUlais.htmlsi=MlkGG15bOpiwuJyh The point of bikepacking is to get outside and ride. Motor or not 😊.
