It never ceases to amaze me that the best content, the material most worthy of our time and efforts, is the same material that gets nobody’s attention. Mindless nonsense will score millions of views while an insightful exposit of something that bares so much relevance to what we see today is virtually ignored. Lewis was so prophetically on the money with the direction humanity was heading. It was an odd combination of amazement and terror reading this final chapter. A fined tuned articulation of thoughts that resonated with something deep inside I all too feared. And then you read the words and a voice is given in black letters on a white page and you can no longer dismiss the thoughts you were formally able to overcome in piecemeal fashion. Thank you for your insightful analysis of this book Dr. Masson. This warning from Lewis should impel those to seek Christ, for a problem cannot be solved at the level in which is was created. I believe we may be standing at the dawn of a new technically efficient dark age.
Thank you for another wonderful series! I couldn’t find my copy of Abolition of Man and ordered a new copy last week. I just read it yesterday and then this morning saw your lectures pop up in my feed! Your ending question-I think the perversion of dominion goes back to eating the forbidden fruit. Satan continues to fool man into believing he can be his own god. Lewis was spot on. Transhumanism is the end of humanity.
