Sounds like anyone was up for the part. I heard even Ralph Macchio was offered the movie..but he turned it down. He said...I thought it was a movie about a guy and his car.
True, he had like a Cracker Jack face! He was kind of strange. He was about same size as Tom Cruise when he did Outsiders and h i t c h e r movie. Like maybe 5/8. Then he seem to have a growth spurt! Three more inches. They say put him at 5:11! Then his face started to look more long and stretched out.
C. Thomas Howell looks like an old hillbilly now! He had the lead role in The Outsiders as Ponyboy Curtis, but of all the primary actors from that movie, he seems to have been the one who went on to have the least success. His net worth is 4 Million Dollars. Ralph Macchio's is currently 5 Million, Emilio Estevez's is 18 Million, Matt Dillon's is 40 Million, Rob Lowe's is 100 Million and sure enough, Tom Cruise's is 570 Million! Well, at least C.
