Not allowing Chiori to snapshot Gorou's buff is a crime. The only incentive i have in pulling for her is her synergy with my C6 gorou whom i pulled in wanderer's banner. Hoyoverse sucks

I feel like hoyo doesnt know what to do with geo. they seem like they just throw darts at the wall hoping that they get a good character that works

So bascially Mihoyo abandoned the idea of destructible geo constructs for good, leaving earlier geo characters with this mechanics (e.g. Zhongli, Albedo) at a huge disadvantage comparing to new characters, as well as characters of other elements, whose 'construct' or summons never gets destroyed. Ironically, geo is supposed to be the element of strenght, toughness.

Definitely strong, a strong skip. As for what version of albedo she is, I'd go with 1.0 merely because her skill actually works; you ever try the flower against newer enemies or bosses? it has a lower life expectancy than a plate of food in front of paimon.

yeah, I really wanted to pull Chiori to play her with Navia. Not interested in going all the way in for a constellation on top of the character to force it though. My Navia will be fine with her Double Pyro/Zhongli team

Chiori is just slow keqing with an even slower cooldown. Also screw Hoyo for making "albedo but good" instead of just making his flower indestructible in the first place. SKIP

Personally, the constellations for the recent characters have been really burning me out . Weapons less so, but it feels worth it to mention anyway. I've pulled every character in the game & way more weapons and cons than I'm willing to admit. With so much QOL / team functionality (or both) being locked behind weapons (to make up for artifact stats & help rotations), and constellations starting to commonly hold QOL in C1 then a massive damage boost on C2 (generally speaking). It doesn't feel like the characters are full products at C0 anymore (again generally speaking). I miss the days of weapons' and cons feeling like a luxury or just a damage boost for a character you really like, not something you need for them to function properly or to utilize their whole kit. Like Neuvillette and his C1 to be used optimally with Furina in the team ( plus the kb resist >.> ) or now Navia and Chiori, it just FEELS bad. idk if anyone else is feeling the same. I just needed to say it somewhere. Chiori will sadly be my first skip; I love her animations and design, but my Albedo is well built so I'm sure I'll get by. The C1 ruined her for me

i'd like to see how she perform with a more common 70-180 crit build.

Thanks for the in depth video. I'm not a Meta player but I do base my character pulls on that as I like the idea that I can follow someone's build to have a strong team. I absolutely love Chiori's design but I don't have any of the characters to make her strong at C0 so I'm just going to skip and save for the next character, then I'll have enough wishes saved probably for the 5 star char and weapon and maybe even a C1 on top.

To me, shes just a 4* character with 5* branding. I really loved her design and found her kit a bit silly, but seeing how she been gimped and done dirty by hoyo, theres not much of a reason to pull for her. She wouldve been a great addition to the 4* Geo characters seeing as we havent gotten one in over two years. along with her being a 4* sword wielding geo character that could use albedos sword somewhat?????

As a Navia main who spent 140 pulls on c0 Chiori, i want to die.

Might be the straw that broke the camel’s back for me. As an old player each little thing adds up since launch and the con baiting is too much. Coercing wallets open by neglecting an element and then still withholding what it needs to feel as good as other elements. Releasing a fun geo character and then neglecting her to try to bait older geo mains. Lazy weapon design. Baiting people into spending with incomplete characters when there isn’t even hard content to justify it. I don’t really have any confidence in their character design anymore, and that was the one thing I was fairly ok with. They were consistent enough, and fair enough to f2p (I am not f2p but I think the f2p experience is important). Now that they made it clear I can’t even count on that I am looking at the space the game is taking up and wanting to reclaim it. This isn’t the only issue but it might be the one that finally kills the game for me. If they respected our time, didn’t bloat tf out of all dialogue and make it insufferable to listen to because of Paimon killing the narrative, cap pc players at 60fps, troll us with garbage loadouts after people have wanted legit ones in forever, terrible artifact system, make nothing feel earned because currency income feels terrible etc. I don’t need to type it all. But if they are going to start baiting dupes more and more there’s really nothing left now. If I want dupes I will get them. If I feel like they are FOMOing me into dupes then I won’t. That is one constant in any gacha I choose to play. I wish I quit earlier so my memories of the game wouldn’t be this bad. Used to love it. Playing it during lockdown with my daughter was so fun.

Honestly, that’s why I really disliked the marketing they did for Chiori. They added Navia with her in her demo to make it look like they pair well together when they have better teammate options, but because they are both the first geo characters to come out for a while they get paired together. Not to mention Navia is a solid unit so they want to entice people to pull for Chiori by making them look as though they pair well. If you pull for constellations this pretty much fixes your problems but for those who don’t like to spend a lot and/or f2p this is very deceiving which sucks. But in the end it’s nice to see what she can do now that she’s finally out. I’m personally not pulling for her but I wish the best of luck to those who are.

Bruh she might as well have the same clunky design as Dehya 💀 1. Non snapshotable buffs 2. Her geo infusion deals less dmg than swapping out of her and back in, which asks the question why would she even have this put inside her kit in the first place… 3. Doesn’t work outside of an off field support in Monogeo (i.e. she only has one team) 4. EVEN HER NAs don’t scale on defense, so again the same question from 2. 5. Constellation bait to be able to work with Navia 👎🏻 TLDL: Good luck on your pulls for Arlecchino.

im running navia furina bennet chiori and it slaps, she really helps making crystals + doing off field damage, you can swap and shotgun with EEE and then hold E to do a second shotgun with 4-6 charges right away

I'll probably pull on Chiori's banner, but mainly because I want constellations for my c3 Gorou so I can finally get his c4 (a bit of healing on my mono geo team lol) and c6 if possible for my Itto. If I happen to get Chiori in the process, nice. If I don't, no big loss.

Got Chiori quite early into her banner, really like her so far, but it does sting a little being forced to use Zhongli (or a geo construct character) when I just want to use her and Navia in the same team. I don't necessarily mind a full geo team, but I prefer just chucking any character I want in a team without having to need a specific unit.

She is 100% a standard character i mean copying keqing skill and same roll as albedo with a slight upgrade nothing new easy skip ngl

I had Itto since his first banner. Went for Chiori and Itto’s banner with 430 pulls. Gotten 1 Chiori, 1 Skyward Pride, 1 Chiori’s weapon and 1 Itto’s weapon with 216 pulls and 6 pity. Gorou is finally C6 too. Happy 😊.

Still gonna c6 r5 her since i LOVE her design SOOO muchhh UwU. Can't wait to just walk around teyvat with her and hear her voicelines

I was lucky to Get her C1R1 within only 100pulls... Im really happy cause I wanted use her with Navia x.x.

I love chiori, I do, I got her for aesthetics (games not hard anyway) but Chiori is a perfect example of so many of the things I hate about Hoyos GI character design philosophy. I really had hoped they had shifted to a more creative mindset with the release of super fun and "different" characters like Neuv, Wrio, and Furina, characters that had washed the bad taste of Dehya, Candace, and Dori from my palate, but then Chiori shows me nope, they will still release mid characters that exemplify boring mechanics that they refuse to flesh out. I legit don't understand why they limit characters that are already not strong by doing shit like, limiting the amount of hits they/constructs do, or refusing to create a new archetype. Chiori is literally using dual swords and a new weapon type would be so refreshing, but nope, give her mid damage for a mid mechanic instead. I like her, but with her I feel exactly the same way I felt with dehya, massive potential hampered for seemingly no reason. Sigh

She looks like she’s supposed to be in the standard banner.🤣 They should’ve learnt from Navia’s success.

Very disappointing new character imo. Pretty much a better Albedo with a lazy copy paste Geo Keqing animation and a C1 bait, wow. Sad to see the current development of the game.
