Got a code for the right rear wheel speed sensor. It wasn't the sensor. Found broken wires in the harness. Spliced and repaired. All is good for now. New harness is about $100!
thanks for the post! apparently this also applies to a 2015 Tundra 4*4 .. out doing some off road and long story short the sensor was damaged and could not get vehicle out of 4Lo.
I noticed the same thing when I saw your video . I Have the same truck and I just received a recall on notice from Toyota where they will replace the frame if necessary. You should check it out . thanks for the video
Thanks. I received the notice just about a month ago. Don't know why so late. Maybe it's because they really don't want to replace these things. I hate the fact that it looks like a rust box. I'm going to take it in soon. Hopefully they'll replace it. That would be great.
Yes. I took it in. It’s true they’ll just add some coating which will probably peel off anyway. I decided not to even bother after reading they do a sloppy job of it.
My abs wires all look good but one of the sensors itself where the both goes through it to hold it on to the hub has a crack right through it. If your sensor has a crack in it is that a good indication that it is not working right ?
No offense intended but your truck has some serious rust for 21k miles. There's a class action lawsuit against Toyota for rusted frames on Tundras, Sequoias and Tacomas. Google it, you might get some free work. Thanks for the vid, my abs speed sensor needs work.
Pax none taken. I'm at 25k now. I live in the rust belt. And between the Toyota and my 2007 suburban, The rust on them is ridiculous. My 15 year old 530i doesn't have nearly as much rust.
I live in Nova Scotia Canada,all vehicles eventually rust. I was just underneath a Sierra GMC type of truck at a garage and the back shocks weren't even attached at the top it was rusted all apart. You could take the shocks and rattle them all around the only thing holding the truck up the mechanic claimed was the leaf springs
