I have now been putting the Xk K110S in this body shell instead of th Blade MCPX BL2 and it's a perfect fit. The MCPX BL2 is $199 but I can get a K110S at Aliexpress for $60 to $70. The decent X6 transmitter goes for $35-$45 at the same place.

Nice! That certainly looks like it will have loads of power ;-) I'm looking forward to the Maiden Flight once your landing gear arrives. See you in the Air!

Thanks. I still need to rig something to keep the hatch in place better. They dropped the ball there in the design dept.. P.S. Got the servo pushrod interference issue solved, but it took some tricky re-shaping: static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/3/9/2/3/9/7/a16768563-97-20221208_175119.jpg This is an unlisted follow-up video I have only shared at RCgroups. Just raw, unedited footage: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--Ld66zmJ0v0.html Happy flying!

@@Doggeslife Awesome! I'm glad that steel rod was pliable and not brittle as I've snapped a few ;-) That is kind of a strange canopy. I'm surprised they didn't put a hing on the bottom of it with a catch on the top. See you in the Air!

@@GroundControlRC Pliable to a point. The first bend is OK. But when I tried to unbend a portion of the first set to alter the shape, they both snapped. That's why I had to buy a second pushrod set. All good now. Happy flying!

Looking good, hope it flies well. I fitted a xk-as350 body to my MCPX BL and it flies heavy at 82gr. I have to be really careful with the throttle or the tail spins out of control once that happens a creash is inevitable. Even when it's under control the tail wags a lot. I've upped the headspeed quite a bit which helps. Looking forward to seeing how yours flies. Would be interested in knowing the AUW

I considered the AS350 and K124 body shells, but they are significantly more costly than the C186 and C187 body parts are, and seemed slightly larger scale too. Maybe I am wrong on that last part. I built my C186 / MCPX BL1 "Frankenstein" the same way I am doing the C187. The C186 build came out at 62.5 grams minus battery. The C187 shell is 3 grams heavier so you can get an idea of it's eventually finished weight by that. Let's say 65g-68g "with empty tanks". See you at the forum. Happy flying!

@@terryrigden4860 RCgroups.com. Someone there mentioned putting a BL in an AS350 body. I assumed it was you, but forgive me if I am way off.
