furina is a great choice coz support chararacters (she gives nice really dmg bonus buffs to your team) are better to to pull for than DPS characters, especially early game coz 4star DPS can also carry you (plus hydro in general is one of the best elements in genshin) but if you're lacking a main DPS, you can get alhaitham, he's amazing! but do keep in mind that some places are unlockable with story progression so farming for their materials can be a pain, you might have to wait a bit or simply unlock in advance

Alhaitham any day of the week. He's powerful dendro DPS. I would say pull at least 1 DPS per element.

this wasn't a comparison or competition though? also while alhaitham is no doubt a good low investment character , the thing you said about arlecchino isn't entirely true coz the only support she really 'needs' to do amazing is bennett who is a 4 star, other than that xingqiu, candace, yunjin who are also very good for her are also 4 stars so? the same argument can be made for pretty much every other character imo coz its really dependent on who you have or choose to play her with
