In this video we are taking a look at the new C4 Ultimate energy drink! They just reformulated it and we take a deep dive into all of the changes they made, as well as what they kept in. Additionally, I will be reviewing all 3 energy drinks currently in the line, one of those energy drinks being a brand new flavor Orange Cream! I workout a lot, this feels like strong preworkout. Was in the gym for hours, no fatigue at all, sore for days. Drink with caution!!

I agree!! Wasn't a fan of the Creamsicle. It's probably my least favorite Creamsicle flavor out of all of the different ones. Ghost Creamsicle is fire 🔥 not an everyday flavor though for sure

@@m.c.b.2022 Yeah the Creamsicle disappointed me...like it's not BAD but it's not as good as Alani, Ghost, or Reign. Wonder if the popsicle creamsicle is any better, can't find it anywhere. The Popsicle ones have been super tasty so I'm guessing it'll be better than the Ultimate one. C4 Orange Slice is pretty good at least

A few weeks ago, I happen to find these drinks at a Speedway gas station where I live. I only got the orange cream to try. Before I tried this, I did not know they had changed the ingredients to more of a nootropic pre-workout than the power house type pre it was before. I thought it was an ok orange cream flavor. It was not bad but did seem to be a little more on the lighter side taste wise. When I drank this, I did use it as my pre-workout that day. I could tell something was a bit different about this and did not think it was as good. Like I said above I had no idea they had changed this to more of a nootropic which I did not like as much and now know why it did not hit me as hard. I think this was better before especially if I plan to use it for my pre workout before I work out. In the old formula I thought both the artic snow cone and fruit punch were really good. I most likely would not get this again since they did change the formula a bit and it just not something I really cared a lot for or feel the need to have again. By no means was it a bad drink but jsut not for me.

I tried them all, and I like them. 300 MG of caffeine in 1 can bit much for me though, because I like to drink about 2 cans a day. The Orange Dreamsicle was "Ok" to me. The monster reserve hands down is the best dreamsicle I ever had. Sadly, it has sugar in it, but not as much as a fully sugared drink.

The last time I saw the C4 Ultimate cans were near the Vitamin Shoppe. I'm not really into these drinks too much because of the 300mg of caffeine, but I do like the variety of flavors! I'm sure I'm gonna enjoy the orange cream flavor a lot!

yeah just had that C4 Orange Cream one, for some reason my stores here are extremely late with some of these releases! Is it because I'm in the boondocks of WV?! 🤣 so it's GOOD but definitely falling short of the competition...although that 300mg caffeine buzz is hitting HARD 😯 I'm holding out for the "Popsicle" Creamsicle one to be better

Idk why some ppl are worried about the caffeine content when the powdered pre workout can range from 150-400mg smh

I think the problem lies within people not knowing what preworkout energy drinks are and just drinking them because they taste good. In those cases, most "regular" people shouldn't be having 300+ mgs in a single drink. 200mgs is a great dosage for most people and science has established that 200mgs should give you the perfect amount of energy for working out and anything over that is excessive. All that being said, its really a matter of how caffeine affects you, your tolerance level and what you need, so people are always going to argue over the right dosage.

I'm headed to America for THE FIRST TIME EVER this summer! 13 day Roadtrip with my dad which has been postponed since covid came out! Can't wait! Which energy drinks should I try out? I'm already gonna head for Ghost, Monster, and probably RYSE too! Any other recommendations? We only have Monster over here in Denmark.

OMG!!! Congratulations! SOOOooooo many recommendations! C4 Skittles & Starburst; C4 smart Blue Razz and Peach; 3D Gold or other 3D flavors you like; Bucked Up; Alani Nu, you already said Ghost and Ryse, Definitely want to try and find some GFuels. I think your best bet, when you get here, is to try and find a GNC or Vitamin Shoppe. They will have a large variety of the drinks you can't get in Denmark. Your regular stores (depending on where you are going), may just have a lot of Monster, Red Bull, Rockstar, Bang, a few Celsius and other drinks. The big names buy up a lot of the shelf space... although stores have been getting more variety!

I had these awhile back at a random 7/11. They had orange cream and there was also a freedom ice ultimate that I have not seen again. They were both top notch in flavor but the 300mgs of caffeine was a bit too much for me. I prefer just 200 in my cans however, I would buy both again 🤙

I know you do good research on things for yourself and you are very knowledgeable. It might be because you want to appeal to a more casual audience but I really do feel like you should go more in depth on these ingredients, Like what happens at the dosages they provide in the drinks, the effects etc. Like for example beta alinine. It has a stereotype of being a good pre-workout ingredient. But the health benefits it provides arent being provided by any energy drink because the health benefits are from doses waay way wayyyy higher than whata in energy drinks. so really what it does is make your body itch/tingle all over, amd really only makes it "feel" like the drink is kicking in stronger. Which its not. its just making you itch all over. And for most of the ingredients in the mass casual drinks are at such low dosages that you really dont ever get the true benefits of each ingredient. Like yeah, the brain boost fruit might have nootropic effwcts but when does it occur and at what dosage vs what dossge is provided in the drink? Not hating on you at all, ive watched you for a couple years now but recently just started to watch again and just a couple things ive noticed

I'm glad that they removed the beta alanine, because I don't need the itch/tingle. You're right about ingredient dosage being what really matters. Also, antioxidants in general aren't even always good for you -- research has not shown clear evidence for antioxidant supplements being beneficial in preventing diseases, and have sometimes even shown worse results. Supplement companies have been known to present flawed studies for marketing purposes. So, who knows if "Brainberry" is really any different.

I didn't love the orange cream, but it was still good. I haven't tried the other two, but the fruit punch sounds very good. I'm not quite as sensitive to it as I used to be, but the amount of beta-alanine was the biggest thing keeping me away from C4 Ultimate in the past. With the reformulation, I'm much less hesitant to try them.

I do like the flavors but these now lack the ingredients I want in my pre workout so that’s out, but also include a load of niacin which isn’t something I want in a normal energy drink. I love niacin flush for pre workout but this can’t be a daily driver for me.

Apparently nootropics are really catching on and the workout world is starting to love them. Ultimately, people who work out (you'd know better than I would) usually take their own preorkout powders and such, with the dosages they need. Most preworkout energy drinks don't have enough of those ingredients...but when it comes to focus ingredients, they can usually get effective dosages into the can. So between the caffeine for energy, the flavor, and the focus, nootropics and working out have started going hand in hand. Even Gorilla Mind is a strong nootropic from a supplement company. I know Im excited!

I liked all the flavors a lot especially fruit punch! Question since you didn't mention it. I remember in your other ultimate review you said it all was sour maybe to cover the pre work out. Maybe since they used less and their wasn't much sour maybe they didn't need to cover up anything so it wasn't as strong as you remembered?

Very true! The first ones were very strong and VERY sour. Without those preworkout ingredients, they seem. to lighten the flavor up a bit.
