Thanks for taking the time and effort to make this video. You're using the same seat, brackets and slider I'm planning on. Good to see your progression thru mounting the seat. And it looks like a great fit.
That seat is one of the greatest things I’ve ever purchased. Everything went together like it belonged in the car. I’d like to get one for the passenger side eventually. Marrad Industries makes a great bracket and the owner is super helpful
I was wondering if the stock belts would work with these seats and I don't think they do, looks like you better use a harness. Thanks for posting this video.
I put one in my C6 Z with the bracket from Corbeau. Only issue so far, the sitting position is really high. I have to slide back away from the steering wheel farther than i want, to get a good view angle. It may be I am just too thick to sit down in the seat bucket where they intend. Not sure.
The bracket I used got the seat as low as possible. Corbeau’s bracket looks noticeably taller to me. If you didn’t cut off the bottom mount pegs under the seat, that may be interfering with lowering the seat too.
hi there, when you took off the rear mounts on the bottom of the seat were the actual threads further inside? I'm thinking I may need to do the same as I fit in my Z06 very snug with helmet on and this will lower the seat headroom. However, I mounted the sliders to seat. Is there a reason why you went with side mounts to the chair vs mounting the slider to the seat and then mounting slider/seat to bracket?
When I cut the bottom mounts off, the threads were cut off as well. I chose side mounts so I could get the seat lower and have more headroom. Side mounts also allow for a little more adjustability with the tilt of the seat. I’m 5’ 11” and I can fit my fist between the top of my head & the roof.
