Raiden's Dimensional Slash is one of those ignore Defense and Resistance attacks, not to mention the damage is literally 999,999,999dmg x 3.14 in otherwards instant death attack mechanic, it's NOT meant to be Block-able because it's just that it's a Mechanic. The Thunder Sphere or a well-timed Kazuha leap are the only ways too avoid it and I've only pulled off that Kazuha Leap 2x in the past 2 1/2 yrs so pulling that one off is more flukish than anything. It should be feasible however to REFLECT said damage back at the Shogun but only Candace or Beidou are capable of pulling that off, it needs to be a Perfect Counter, else instant death will occur.

Infinite damage would still mean nothing if you have 100% damage reduction. It's most definitely the case that the code for raidens slash runs some sort of conditional statement to see if the active character is under the electro shield or has a constellation effect. If those specific conditions aren't met, then hp gets instantly reduced to 0. Infinite damage isn't even possible since the maximum number a 64bit cpu register can even represent would be 2^64 - 1, which I daresay is quite a bit off from "infinity". Had the developers decided to do so, it would've also be very easy to just add the condition of 100% damage reduction to the check. Something like: if ( checkShieldActive() && characterConstellationActive() && activeCharacter.DamageReduction >= 1 ) { Raiden Attack does nothing } else { You ded boi }

With c6 and beidou/xingqiu She has 3 sources of interruption resistance.

Dmg reduction doesn't negate knock back at all, even with 100% but since all sources of dmg reduction other than jean C6 provide interruption resistance as well, in practice, with the units we have, you're not gonna get interrupted with 100% dmg reduction

All damage resistance is additive in this game. People have been doing similar showcases with Xingqiu, Beidou and Jean since 1.0.

if a 109% damage reduction doesn't do it, why would 159%? The code is simply made like if outside domain barrier, HP = 0.

Raidens slash damage is infinite, it doesn’t matter what you do you’ll get killed no matter what

@@Neo-o No, this ability doesn't deal damage, it merely rewrites your HP bar to zero. Otherwise a 109% damage reduction would just heal infinite (back to full)

No. That attack doesn't do damage, it applies "Defeated" status to a random character in the team. Damage reduction wouldn't do anything. It's different from Musou no Hitotachi. That attack actually does damage, and can be survived via Beidou parry or spamming food.

i think they did that because it will just makes the charaters too op when the bosses are not even that difficult. Imagine having atk speeds multiplicative
