Finally a fully customizable case, with sufficient dimensions, and great water cooling options :) And it even looks great, with that design, and that decent LED stripes around. For me, this case is actually the best of all time :) Maybe just one case was better for water cooling, and it was Corsair Obsidian 1000D.
I still have my original cosmo and also a HAF. I had not used them for years but recently put a new build in the HAF. Cooler Master cases are the best.
Why don't you address the fact that there are many, many, many people over on the Cooler Master "Fanzone" forum complaining for over a year now that after spending $400+ the RGB lighting doesn't work right on the C700M - and hasn't since it was introduced over a year ago. And when people over there get upset after spending $400+ on a case that doesn't work as advertised, Cooler Master kicks them off the forum.
really good video mate, i saw so many videos and reviews on internet, but no body talk about the flexibility of this case, now im decided to buy this beatifull case, sorry for my english im from argentina.
A bit of a word of warning : for those wanting to extend this case (that is still readily available at retail for purchase) with more HDD cages and try and find the second DVD/BR cage : good luck as they are not being produced anymore. Disappointed is an understatement for such a phenomenal case.
Very nicely made video. I just purchased this and am in the middle of my build. I am using a 2080 TI GPU and have mounted a EK water block to it. When I attempt to put the gpu on the adjustable mount bracket, I am getting sag on one end due to the weight of the card. Do you have any suggestions to secure the card onto the adjustable bracket?
I have this case but someone else built the computer. They forgot to hook up the leds around the case.. How could I do this?????? Also this case weighs about 500 lbs.. you may want to advise on some wheels?
Sir as a Aerospace Hardware Test Engineer, I am very fussy when I purchase a case, can I ask what type of material is the sloping Silver looking panels made from?, the handles are attached to, I realise the handle screws will pass through to the main chassis, the material goes all around the sides of the main chassis, Metal or Plastic?
Where can I buy rgb tape for the upper part of the c700m or what kind of tape is needed? My rgb led strip failed. Many people complain about a similar failure, which is fine, but the LED strip cannot be purchased separately. Please solve this situation.
@@RiftDM Thanks! I ended up buying a 2 slot bracket for the EVGA card + I finally bought the C700M. I love it so far! system not build yet, I just took everything apart and I'm still exploring the different layouts options. I will probably be going Chimney style, but with GPU at the back (rotating GPU mount attached to the back panel) still exploring where I'll put the PSU and cover :) Hope part 2 will come soon to give me new ideas!
Hi, can anyone confirm please if I go push + pull 360mm rad (45mm thick) on top with 120/140 - 25mm thick fans (3/3 6 in total for push + pull) will it fit? I know if I set only push mode with 3x 120/140mm fans with a 45mm thick radiator will work just fine. But what about push+pull I will have 3 more fans right at the top between the dust filter and bracket. I've heard from others that if you want push pull on top you need to use 15mm slim fans in order to fit between the dust filter at the top. And honestly I don't like that (15mm thick fans)
Great overview and explanations. Thanks for taking the time and posting. I'm getting the gear to replace my old faithful. As far as cases are concerned I'm just not sure if to go to this or the new 500M, but it will be based on an Aorus Extreme motherboard which is EATX. Probably a silly question but why don't cases come with USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports across all of the front ports regardless of type A or type C? One of the main reason I like it more than others is the 5 front ports.
As I understand x5 HDD cages are shipped with the case and to use 7 more I'd need to buy MCA-C700R-KOCC00 ? And when using x12 HDDs will I be still able to use x2 5.25" Lian Li BZ-H06B SATA Power Switches? If I'm not wrong they are only 6,5cm deep and in theory shouldn't be on the way of two top HDDs.
Hey there! Quick question. Do you think you could fit a 3-fan CPU liquid cooler and four hybrid all-in-one 2080 Tis (each with their own fan) in this case?
The rgb strips on my case just randomly stopped working and the front io button for the rgb is no longer lit up or functional. Has anyone encountered this before or have a potential solution?
I know it's a bit late to ask @Cooler Master , but can you compare it side by side with Cooler Master Mastercase Maker 5? I can't find any photo or review comparing them both... and dimensions on their tech specs on Cooler Master C700M websites is hard to gauge than the real thing.
@@Soul-IM 600 here in my country. Bought it and never looked back. Only issue I have with it is the number of USB ports is more than my motherboard can support.

Thanks for the explanations. I just finished my set up in this case. Really like the case! But your manual is so terrible. You could have do much better manual for such an expensive case. I have a question for you. What is the best option to mount GPU in terms of good cooling? I have mounted it in the old fashion directly into MB with fans looking down. Obviously i have removed angled GPU bracket. I get around 67C in games with the case fans set to low and GPU fans are on 1300rpm. My GPU is 1080. If i mount it looking up in the provided bracket, will i get lower temperatures?
Hi Elf! If you are aiming for the best temperatures you may want to stick with the GPU mounted in the motherboard or you can mount it vertical on the HDD bracket ( beside the motherboard, using the angled GPU bracket); follow the steps in page 10 of the manual for it. Both configurations will give you good temps, but the second one will look way better :D (IMO) I suggest to use the angled bracket on the PSU cover only if you care about the aesthetics of your system more than thermal performance, as it will have an impact on temperatures. That configuration is targeted more towards watercooling rather than aircooling :) but you may still want to give it a shot, try and test the temperatures. maybe you discover that in your case you have no problem at all
@@RiftDM Hi! Thanks for your suggestions and opinion. I have already tried vertical GPU mount and I had GPU temperature raised by 10C compairing to standard old fashion direct plug into mobo. Definitely not the best option. Will try angle bracket and see what happens:)
Ice! I want to get this case for my new build, but I plan to get the rog thor 1200watt psu, and I want to view the psus display, is it not a good idea to completely remove the oau shroud?
@@son-stevkan2815 you can remove the shroud, it wont hurt much its only there for looks and to hide messy wiring and to support the vertical GPU bracket mount.
@@son-stevkan2815 cool, I have a ticket open with cm right now on the case lighting, seems the leds are acting weird and they flicking and don't light up in certain modes. Hope you don't have the same problem but I see others with this same thing.
Why can't the default front and top have 2x200mm fan support for a case this size?? *Edit* btw the host's accent makes me think he's a MotoGP rider for some reason 🤣🤣
just received delivery, tried to start but the manual is so crap, no detail what so ever a part from a few pics, ive done builds b4 but this case makes it very complicated, also i have 5 HDDs yet i only have brackets for 2? Im gonna give it a shot or ill return it for something else, nice case but complicated, and there isn't a step by step online video by cooler master, really crap job.....
This is the worst case ever! They have switched the way they manufacture this case. The wire management is not even close to the same. Also the rgb lights burn out after an hour or so of use. I am on my second 700m and the lights just went out on it. Got to love spending almost $600 on a case and then find out that cooler master doesn't even have a custom support line you can call. I submitted a ticket on their website about a week ago, still no response. On Amazon I did find some reviews about this problem. Looks like they are still dealing with the problem with no resolve. I personally will never buy from cooler master again. I had a problem with an msi laptop once they paid for me to send it to the and sent me a better one free, no questions asked. Fuck cooler master!
ASUS X99 supports neither RGB or A-RGB, so not sure what your issue is. The case comes with an RGB/FAN controller, so you can link it to your X99 for PWM fan control, and simply power any A-RGB from the included controller.
This is not tutorial. :( This is advertisement. Lot's of important stuff is missing. No closups - where exactly the screws are located. (Trying to hide very bad painting quality?) Sometimes is obvious, sometimes is not. No explanation how the controller is working. Everything you need to check by yourself. (For example - NOWERE explained why controller has 2 SATA power ports, and what second is for.) Beautiful cable management ladder... Except the fact it using mostly for holding CoolerMaster engineering stupidity. Instead to make 1 small USB hub, (and maybe even cardreader) on top. And connect it with single USB 3.1 to motherboard - CM has 4 huge USB 3 cables, completely useless, just taking space. What about to make second one, shorter and horizontal, to hold cables from the controller? No? Completely shitty user manual, no even slight explanation how correctly install GPU and riser cable to the holder. Riser v2, but holder itself - custom? It's not the same as separate universal GPU holder. And it doesn't have the screws to attach the cable. I used bolts and L shape holder to assemble - but is it right? Not explained anywhere. It still the top chassis, no question. But after mu HAF-X it looks like quality is step down. :(
Can I mount a closed loop radiator on top of the c700m as it was possible on the 700p model, cuz on some sites it's said that a radiator can only be placed on front, bottom and rear sides. Please clarify that because otherwise its a miraculous case
Does this case have 1 or 2 slots for optical drives? You should make a cheaper version without layout customisations. I know there's C700P but this one is more beautiful!
I'm not sure what your name is but YOU DO EXCELLENT PRESENTATIONS WITH GREAT ADVICE. I love the way you come across to your audience in a personable way that is easy to follow. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I 'm thinking of using this for a customer build, will Asus Rog Rampage Omega E-ATX motherboard width 10.9"=27.686cm fit? This new edition has specs of 10.7"=27.178cm for motherboard fit. Will cable grommets be completely covered? Thanks Great explanation video
yes ,there is a A RGB plug to connect to the motherboard ARGB header and sync RGB. Personally I used an adapter on ebay to convert this plug to Corsair Lighting Node and control the case RGB strips with iCue :) it works very well!
