sir i think from may24 onwards, maximum exemption u/s 54 & 54F will be 10 crores.. but this is not covered in your notes

Hi Sir. Would like to know how were market linked debenture and units of specified mutual funds ( USMF) both acquired before 01/04/2023 taxed. When I checked the same in Google it showed me that POH of market linked debenture is 12 months and that of USMF is 36 months , and LTCG on an MLD was taxed at flat 10% without indexation and unexhausted basic exemption limit and LTCG on USMF was taxed at flat 20% with indexation and with unexhausted basic exemption limit. Would like to know whether the info is correct or not

41:52 sir what are those conditions it's so confusing is it like that 2 houses can be purchased only if the capital gain doesn't exceed more than 2 crores??

Yes….. if long term capital gain exceeds 2 crore then you cant purchase 2 residential house property…. In this case exemption will be provided only to the extent of 1 residential house property u/s 54
