I use the 938M 40 hours a week and I absolutely love that thing. The ONLY downside is the door when closing, you have to really pull on it to get the latch to engage and even with both windows open it still creates enough sound/pressure inside of the cab to make your ears uncomfortable. I have to open and close that door maybe 100 times during a shift and after 20-30 times of slamming it shut it starts to become a pain. Other than that this thing is a monster.
@@timkean6250 Well with how smooth and comfortable Cat has made their equipment you notice small things that aren't to the same "standard" I guess. Making a auto close feature so you don't have to slam the door would be nice
Switch from a '80s cat loader with manual valves. To one of these I miss my old loader. You hit a valve and it's instant. This thing has a hell of a delay in every single thing ultimately making the job slower
Its probably a setting, i hated that too but in the menu there is a valve speed setting. Goes from smooth to fast. I managed to get it to work really well
My workplace just upgrade me a brand new 2019 938m....I have to say its suck...slow weak and and the brake pedal on the left side make it worst... I really miss my Volvo L90f..

After running a 938G for years how about lose the foolish computer and make a machine that just works never seen such a pain in the ass machine the 938M wastes more time switching between the backup screen and diagnostic screen

Cat engineers should take a tour of a Volvo plant so they can learn to make wheel loaders. Horrible electronic delays, poor visibility, underpowered steering, jerky ride control. Even komatsu makes a better loader
Worst small loaders ever made almost impossible to grade with and the roughest loader ever made i will stick to the 938H last model of good small loaders
