In 1987, when I was 15, a cool older guy of 17, who drove a green AMC Gremlin and wore combat boots, made me a mixtape with this song on it. It also included Yaz, Soft Cell, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and other "alternative" bands that I wasn't that familiar with at the time. I listened to that tape for years. Man, I wish I still had it.

Band was way ahead of its time. They turned me on to electronica way back in the 80s. Amazingly talented.

Gary Numan and Kraftwerk were ahead of their time too, and even The Buggles were important as Dire Straits that made MTV possible. (It was not an easy feat behind-the-scenes.)

Were they, or were they of their time? Most other musical revolutions may not have taken place in the 90s onwards without this.

Best version of this song that I’ve heard. These chaps helped to pioneer the “industrial” sound, years ahead of it becoming a recognized musical genre. Quite innovative.

In 85 it was The underground music scene of modern music this was my intro. To a band that was out there ! Cabaret Volltare ! On a 100 K rig ! I bow my head to the sound of Northern Teckno as good now as then !! Respect ☯️.
