Cabbage curry
Serves 6 to 7 persons
Heat 4 tbsp oil in a cooker
Add mustard seeds 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
Dry red chillies 2
Curry leaves
Add 1 kg Cabbage
Stir on a high flame for 3 minutes
Add 3/4 tsp turmeric pdr, 1/2 tsp red chilli pdr, 2 green chillies. Mix well
Add 1.5 cups toor dal which was soaked in water for 30 minutes and drained.
Add salt . Mix
Add 3 cups water
Close the cooker and allow 3 whistles on a high flame
Heat 2tbsp oil in a pan
Add 2 tbsp Peanuts, 2 tbsp urad dal, 4 tbsp coriander seeds, 1 tsp fenugreek seeds, 1 tbsp rice
Roast on low flame for minutes
Add 6 dry red chillies
Roast for 2 minutes on low flame
Add 1 Lemon size tamarind
Roast for half a minute
Switch off flame
Add grated coconut and mix
Cool and transfer to a mixer jar
Add 4 cloves garlic and 4 shallots
Blend to smooth paste.
Keep aside
Now open the cooker after pressure is gone
Add the blended paste.
Add 2 tbsp jaggery
Bring to a boil and switch off the flame.
Enjoy yummy Cabbage sabzi with rotis or rice
