Iroh’s voice actor sounds a lot like older Mark Hamill, they also talk very similarly, and have very similar mannerisms, I think he could pull off a good impression, and easily voice the fire lord as well, I mean, his character is the fire lord’s brother after all.
I’d argue that shows like Naruto and clone wars have made an equally large difference in as many, if not more, peoples lives, cause those fanbases are also very big.
It might be possible for most of them in Book 2, especially Jennie Zhang and Dante Basco. I can see Jennie portrays Sensu and Lee's mom in "Zuko Alone" chapter, and Dante will have a cameo role as a passenger in a ferry to Ba Sing Se. Or perhaps we can have either Zach or Greg as the voice of the Lion Turtle...?
I feel like Avatar always remained popular, so it's weird how they're discussing how bigger it got after Netflix, but I guess there's a new fanbase. Awesome.
It was popular but it was off the air for over a decade. And Netflix helped introduced it to a new generation. I knew people that never heard or seen the show started watching it
14:20 important note - if you aren't someone who buys comics, all the comics are available on the Android/Whatever phone book stores. They are really well done where the speech bubbles pop out as you scroll and stuff for easy reading - no zooming in on tiny text.. and they carry right on from this universe which is great. It's literally the "lost episodes" so definitely go read what happened!
Definitely have mixed feelings about the live-action show (probably won't watch it), however, having James not only being the animated cabbage man but also the live-action one will probably be the highlight of the show for me.
Fr. I’m not sure what to expect from the live action adaptation, but I just hope that they can also keep the same humor and essence that the cartoon had. Because sometimes what’s done on a cartoon doesn’t mean that it’ll work in live action. Also, I really hope that the voice actors can have at least some sort of cameo on that show and that they’ll incorporate some popular/iconic scenes from the cartoon into the show🤞🙏
One of my favorite Avatar memories was when I was maybe 8. I had brought my Aang and Zuko (they only had those two. Never saw action figures of anyone else till I was an adult) to school and was playing with them by myself at recess. Next thing I know one of the special ed kids ran over and was like "Avatar!!!" and started playing with my Aang. His teacher tried to stop him, but I told her it was fine. He played with it for a few seconds, gave it back, and left. Another one is watching the show and playing the video games with my sister.
Apart from zach tyler eisen(aang), id also love to see them have Dee Bradely Baker join them he voiced appa and momo and I highly doubt they'll ever get Mark hamill to join lol
That week break convention coverage took. Was worth it 👌 😌 🙌 👏 . Hope my comments reach Convention coverage but would like Zach Aquilar back cause of Tonikaku kawaii 's Season 2 and The other English Voice Actors.
If they wanted a real Netflix avatar, even having the original voice cast of avatar as some rebels or supporting characters could’ve been meta, nostalgic and very out of place. Like these cast members would be colonials whose parents lived in a foreign land and adopted the avatar world culture.
The only one ive seen he's appear atso far was at comic con revolution 2023 zach tyler eisen for a while really was out if the spotlight and living his life hopefully we'll see him at more cons over time id love to meet him one day
That's because the OG voice actor for Iroh passed away during production of Season 2 of the show, causing them to bring in Greg Baldwin who is able to mimic Mako's voice.
