I took my new 2WT fly rod out to see how it would handle the bigger fish and water. I didn't do too bad. I highly recommend the rod, especially for smaller streams and tight quarters.
Thanks Chris. We should get together sometime. I hope that you are doing well and that life is treating you good. Getting the ice gear out in a week or two. Thanks for chiming in.
So what’s your overall thoughts on the rod? Looks like it handled fish that size just fine, and I imagine pretty fun for smaller fish as well? Also were you using a 2wt line or overlining it?
I would pull the trigger on it again. If you look at some of my other videos, I use it exclusively on small streams. The fiberglass and lightweight make it a blast to fish. Perfect size for smaller creeks. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J2EbOGtH22M.html

Just the standard floating line that comes with it in the combo. Works great especially because with such a small rod, distance casting is few and far between.
