Cabela's Dangerous Hunts is Insane | MandaloreGaming Reaction 

The real kicker is that there is a Dangerous Hunts game where the story is you are some big-dick big game hunter who has to track the mysterious animal that killed your friend. So you go on this world-wide journey fighting off shit like wolves and bears in North America, Lions and Hyenas in Africa, Tigers in India, Crocodiles in Australia to try and find where your friend was killed...it turns out he was in the Himalayas and the thing that killed him was a fucking Yeti.

The "moving castle doctrine" bit it has to be one of my favorite things from mandy I've seen

There is a comment in Mandalore's video that talks about the secret plot of the game, about how the final boss Black Lion was the one who sent the bear and the wolves after Jacob's father and is behind the agresivity of every single animal in the game and his crusade against Jacob and his brother, if you havent seen It yet do It, its gold

You play as a deranged man carrying enough ammo to vaporize Africa, and the collectible of the game are animal skulls? We ARE playing a Warhammer game because this is definitely Khorne related.

something I want to mention: a black panther is any big cat in the Panthera genus with melanism (excess skin pigment) so while you'd typically think of a leopard or jaguar, the final boss of this game still qualifies as a black panther

What's funnier is this game is a sort of remake of the Cabela's game that came out just before it. The games have a very similar plot at first, but where they begin to branch off is when they get to who dies. In the previous installment, the brother dies (not to a bear, he gets killed by a shadow wolf made of living darkness), and your father then gets possessed/manipulated by a demon hyena who lives underground and was brought up to the surface by the military, who were doing animal experimentation on baboons in order to create the perfect army (which you naturally fight in a military base). I would argue that one is even more insane than the one Mandalore played here, and he played that one on stream afterwards. He was unsure of which game was more absurd by the end, since the ridiculous stuff like the devious wildlife is in that too, same with hunting animals by the hundreds.

My family hunts, been a number of times; it is really not for entertainment, there are a large number of more exciting things that require less effort and no death. Hunting is about turning 20$ worth of shotgun shells into 200 lbs. of meat, as well as population control (everyone loves bambi until he comes through your windshield on the highway). The competition and excitement stem from it's necessity, finding value in a rough and grisly task.

This was one of Mandalores Halloween Specials. For a few years now he searches for some real gems to "review" on Halloween. His "Mystery of the Druids", "Limbo of the Lost", "Anonymous Agony" and "Ring: A Mind Melting Adventure" reviews are all a great time. Though be careful about that last one. Mandalore himself had a rough time to try and make it watchable due to the classic music used in the game, since everyone likes to claim they did the music.

Expectation: Sitting in a bush for 20 minutes, taking a shot, getting a terrible score because of reasons you don't understand. Reality: The stampede scene from Lion King if Mufasa was packing heat, hyena jump scares, The Grey and The Revenant at the same time, the trees are speaking leopard, mountian lion horror sections, quickscoping baboons like it's Counter-Strike, an actual arena fight against the apes, being a one-man extinction event and a final boss fight against LEO BRANDO. Honestly I don't know whether this game is better or worse without the reveal of the intervation of magic or aliens. Having them would explain so much, but not having them makes it so much more fun. Sure people try to make games like this (closest I can think of in the last few years is Squirrel Stapler), but something this glorious cannot be made by design.

I've played a lot of the Cabela's Dangerous Hunts Games and the animals in the 2011 & 2013 ones I am convinced were unnatural As for hippos, yeah they apparently kill more people every year then lions do and so do Cape Buffalo (which were misidentified as bison), which is why Cape Buffalo are sometimes called "Black Death" & "Widowmaker"

The strangest thing about all of this, is that I feel like there's actually a really cool game idea in here somewhere. Like there's a Resident Evil style virus that drives animals crazy, and we really are playing a conservationist, and we have to go into these tainted ecosystems and take samples while fighting off legions of creatures that have gone rabid. Only for the plot twist to be that it's a bioweapon or something, and was meant to be used on humans, but it didn't work right. I feel like if Cabela's had put maybe 25% more effort into thinking about the plot, this could have been a whole line of games that were really cool. Resident Evil Zookeeper.

The two pathfinder reviews, Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous are both very good. I heard of the games because of mandalore’s reviews, played and loved both. Mandalore briefly mentioned that he talked about “Blue Gender” twice in the same year. Thats a reference to the Myth 2 video. Myth 1 and 2 are games made by Bungie (The company who made Halo.) Those videos are part of a series where Mandalore connects all the Bungie games together through shared lore.

If you want to watch more Mandalore, i really recommend checking both Limbo of the Lost and Mistery of the Druids, i think together with his Warhammer videos are his "must watch"

First of all Jaguars are not native to Africa just South America though The lineage of the jaguar appears to have originated in Africa and spread to Eurasia 1.95-1.77 mya according Wikipedia. Second This game is just nuts it's not a hunting game that's for sure.

This is the dangerous hunts series. I always believed the canon was dangerous hunt’s universe humans and animals are enemies and constantly fighting which would make the plot in dangerous hunts 2 make more sense.

I'm one of those freaks that plays fps type games with a controller but always turn auto-aim/aim assist off. I know that mouse and keyboard is mechanically superior but It never felt right to me so I just ended up getting really good and finessed my way with shooters like a smash bros melee player lol

Hey man, I don’t want to be rude because I really enjoy your videos. But I think you have some major misconceptions about hunting. Hunting is actually good for the environment, in moderation, because otherwise (at least in North America) the deer population would grow out of control because of a lack of natural predators. Now of course this lack of natural predators is 100% humanities fault because we killed so many wolves for basically no reason, but it does mean that it is necessary to hunt and actually helpful to the ecosystem. Also conservationists hunt a lot, and I think you’ll actually find that most hunters are very pro environment. There’s always bad eggs obviously, and all the bad stuff you hear about poachers and overhunting does happen and is true, but I just wanted to point out that it’s a lot more complicated than just that.
