Ironically, my family was camping at Vogel this week also !!! Defiantly had some weather challenges !! But we did enjoy the park trails. We were extremely disappointed in the LOWER restroom and shower areas. They were very cold inside, and the water pressure was terrible. We drove up to the upper, NEWER section to find a much better experience. But on the possitive side the staff was very friendly and the park was a very nice. We had a wonderful time enjoying the Georgia scenery .

Very nice!! We did a day visit to Vogel in Jan 2021. It was an overcast day but still nice.

Perfect timing. My dad just tasked me with finding a place for next year to meet. Some ppl are in Louisiana, NC, and SC. His request was a place somewhat mid way for all and with cabins.

We are camping at FDR State Park in Pine Mt Ga. It's a beautiful park too for Thanksgiving week. Every year now for about 25 years. Lots of family and friends.. Great review for Vogel. We have not camped there in 12 years. Thanks for the video.

I no longer have the mobility or stamina for this hike, but I did do it a number of years ago and it is incredible. Your posts are so professional and advice and comments are spot on.
