I really enjoyed the behind the scenes of becoming cabin crew! I am an aspiring cabin crew so I loved the content! So cool to hear you transferring from EasyJet to BA as well as ground school info! Looking forward to more behind the scenes contents!

Hey, thanks for watching and for the comment, glad you enjoyed the video. Yeah both Easyjet and BA were good fun to work for but totally different companies so there was so much to change when moving over to BA.

Crazy, I found your channel from Orlando vlogs and then this came up recommended for me today and you and I have had very similar flying careers - EZY then BA. Small world!
@GeorgeandDan
@GeorgeandDan 4 года назад
Oh no way! That’s so cool. I wish I had started vlogging trip while I was at British Airways. Preferred EZY though to be honest.

George and Dan I’m glad I do it now but I wish I’d started at Easyjet cause I did night stops from Gatwick with them. I can see why you liked EZY more - better atmosphere on board.

Hello there Id like to ask you what would happen if someone doesn't pass the final training test? Is there a chance that you might not be able to complete your training or would be given time to learn and have another test?
@GeorgeandDan
@GeorgeandDan 5 лет назад
Hey! Most of it was done a points based system, so for failing something they give you a point and you can have a maximum of 12 (I believe?) Generally speaking, they coach you through and help you where they can. There is a chance you don’t pass and you won’t be hired by BA. But I believe it is rare that this happens.

I got offered the job with BA for mixed fleet almost 2 months ago still got a while till I start but any tips for training or when I start and things to keep in mind? Ive never flown before or even had much of a proper job for that matter so im quite nervous as well as excited for it! aha
@GeorgeandDan
@GeorgeandDan 5 лет назад
Hey there! Tips for training, read questions properly lol, make sure you understand what processes are what and just talk with others on the training course. You’ll all be in the same boat. Even though I flew before, I was still as nervous about the process as the non flyers. In regards to staying in Heathrow for training (if you’re not commuting) many hotels in the area offer discount, you just have to show your pass when you check in (even travelodge) it is an incredible job and an amazing experience.

Quick question I'm quite nervous. I really want to ask you guys what questions were they asking at the interviews and are your tips? Really want to ace this 🤗🤗
@GeorgeandDan
@GeorgeandDan 5 лет назад
Hey. It may have changed since I had the interview. There were group exercises, working together to plan a new airport lounge, a one on one interview, like, why ba? What skills do you have that you would bring? How would you handle shift work etc, and a one on one role play, helping a customer out with a difficult situation. :) hope that this helps.

@@GeorgeandDan hey thank you for responding means alot but when I was there couple of months ago I indeed made it through to the last round however at the interview I was asked I would call it trick questions. The basics I answered to the best of my ability but this guy kept throwing me off about other airlines sevices then asking how it compares to BA?! 🤨🤨
@GeorgeandDan
@GeorgeandDan 5 лет назад
Oh yeah they do, I’m sure they play it like good cop and bad cop. There was a lot about easyjet comparisons, but I worked for easyjet prior so maybe it was different.

How strange that I joined my airline recently and I am exactly the same as you with regards to my feelings !

Oh really? Is that in regards to the nervous flyer situation? Lol.

@GeorgeandDan
@GeorgeandDan 5 лет назад
That’s so funny! Even while I was at Easyjet I was terrified of flying over the ocean. Until I worked for BA and flew transatlantic twice a week. Soon got used to it 😂

Are their ways round tatts for guys as cabin crew ? I have ones on my forearm and upper arms so would be completely exposed in a short sleeve shirt
@GeorgeandDan
@GeorgeandDan 5 лет назад
It depends entirely on the airline that you’re applying for. I believe that BA has a standard of no lower than the elbow for a man, and women could only have them on their torso. But if you google BA Uniform Standards / Tattoo standards, I’m sure it will come up. Cause they do offer a long sleeve shirt, just don’t know if they’ll allow the tattoo.

@GeorgeandDan
@GeorgeandDan 3 года назад
Hey, hmm, I’m not entirely sure I think that would be on a country specific thing, I’m not entirely sure what the UK offers in that aspect unfortunately.

Hey, I know there was a height restriction, but I couldn’t tell you the actual answer. It should say on their application as it will mention height to weight ratio and tattoos etc. Sorry I couldn’t be of more use!

@thefbiagentbehindurscreen5390 4 года назад
I'm pretty sure most airlines say that 6'1 is the max height but you might wanna check just in case!
