A marimba solo I composed during quarentine. I tried to focus on using a monotonous rhythm to replicate the tedious feeling of day to day life trapped inside and let the piece build up to big dissonant moments that simulate the mental frustrations or "cabin fever" that we begin to feel. Technically speaking this is my first ever composition and I'm pretty proud that I was able to incorporate the ideas in my head onto the instrument, I still think it could be 100x better, but for my first go at it, I'm pretty satisfied.
