Disney Cast Member here - I highly recommend the cabins or Animal Kingdom Lodge. Both are rather cheap compared to some of the other hotels and they offer such a peaceful experience.

Not much has changed since the cabins arrived back in the 90s when I worked there. You can get charcoal, etc. at the trading post on property. Definitely get a golf cart and, if they have it, go to the campfire show! I just can't believe how much a cabin costs now!!

I recommend renting a golf cart the FW Cabins. While there is internal bus, you have to wait for the internal bus line, and then go to the dock and wait again for a boat.

is the price quotes for golf carts the price per day? would it be far to walk from the cabins to the boat/buses to other (not MK) parks?

@@aislingbyrne9281 we’ve stayed there 3 times and while the golf cart is expensive, it’s absolutely worth it. Especially if you have rest days in between. My kids enjoyed it as much as the parks

The cabins were so much better when they had Murphy beds.

Agreed. I love Murphy bed in our camper. But the bunks make it feel more like a cabin.

Thats funny about the oven. Its a convection microwave . They are great and easy to use. Select convection bake, put the rack in , select the temperature , and bake your pizza. Its great in the summer to bake without heating up the big oven. Well worth the extra expense.

We also found it quite easy for heating up a frozen pizza purchased at the canteen.

I love the cabins. I managed to get one that was near both a pool and a bus stop. That is really optimal. Try to request that when you reserve.

Great video showing why Disney raises prices on cabins and people keep booking them. Best time to get these is during Florida resident discounts. I believe they still have 25% off right now. I just hate that they charge $20 a day for parking at your cabin.

Question: What is like getting to the buses to get to the parks? How far are the cabins? Is it within walking distance, or do you have to take the internal bus system. I’m looking into this for a group of 5 adults.
