It's mindblowing how a supposedly "broken" and "unbalanced" game that is nearly 20 years old requires more skill to get into it and master it to its fullest versus the casual trash we get these days, this is why most modern fighters are simply trash versus 90s and early 2000s fighting games.
dang i had learned these techniques of his a long time ago and learned it by experience and watching others do it. cable was one of my favorite character in mvc2 simply because of his hyper viper beam combo hehe thought it was sick!!! i didnt know they were called tiger knee motion when he launches off the ground hahah then do an attack haha. i always wondered how the heck he was able to recover from the first hyper combo then do another 2 or 3 in a row hahah. Then i figured he needs to be off the ground in order for him to connect those viper beam combo in a row haha its pretty awesome haha. its complicated but then people will understand if they play this game ahhhh good old days!
@Donnshin This is a move known as a snapback. You can do this with any character by inputting Quarter Circle Forward and either assist button. By landing this move, you will snap out the opponent's point character, and force in one of his other characters according to which assist you pressed (assist 1 for his second character and assist 2 for his third.) This move uses one meter, but is a great strategy for attempting to kill assist characters that are weaker on point.
It's pretty hard to time since she has airdash and float, but it's possible. You have to hit her on the way up and then HVB right before you hit the ground.
Interesting tutorial I'm gonna make another but with setups for all people basic, intermediate and Advance. The point of a tutorial is this descriptions maybe slow motion and combos not fancy edition on Video like some people of my country just noobs.
Two days ago I've upload a ner combovideo of Cable showing all his setups. Look for MVC2 CABLE REBORN COMBOVIDEO. I want the opinion of all cable players.
when he does his taunt he spins his gun more than once. people say that you juat have to keep on pressing the taunt button but it doesnt work. i have the one for the xbox 360 arcade can you tell me how to make spin his gun more?
There's a move I saw the AI do on me with Cable, basically it was a kick that sent my character off screen and temporarily disabled him, forcing me to use someone else. Do you know how to do this move or was I seeing things?
For the life of me i cant figure out 1:07 you said down/forward +HP now instinctively im thinking QCF+HP but I know thats not it then I noticed that you when u did it in the video so now my question is, is it more like wave dashing when you do it? lemme know bro-
@ELECTRlCz Click on my other videos, it's the one called AHVB Hands. It both shows you how through a video and gives you a description if you click "Show More" below the video.
@ii8thwonder Yes, you tiger knee the first one, and as soon as you hit the ground, tiger knee another one. Heavy characters (like Sentinel, Juggernaut, and Hulk) will fall fast enough to keep going as long as you have meter, but most characters will fall out after three HVBs. Also, if you notice the other character getting too high, you can just normal jump and HVB instead of using the tiger knee.I do this in the first combo in the opening of the video.
I never knew the 'shoryuken' was just as simple as foward, down down forward. I always thought it was like back-to forward to down to down forward. Much simpler thanks
