This figure looks amazing! I'm looking forward to getting it! Looks like they didn't add the blue part to the trunks. To be honest I never noticed it until someone pointed out to me. so I don't mind. Thanks for the head swaps. The only other head swap I would have liked to see would have been on the Strife body.

I do love Cable because he is a badass Marvel time travel character like Bishop despite the fact that I don't have a Cable figure so I might try to get this very awesome comic Marvel vs Capcom style Cable from Amazon or GameStop.

Finally a review! My only complain is that the calf should've been cast all yellow, when you bent the knees the kneepad separates from the painted area leaving a gap in blue. I don't know why they chose it that way, well they knew we'll buy it anyways. Can't wait for mine!

Your Cable has some QC. Unless they changed it on the final product, the crotch piece is supposed to have blue paint on the sides. 5:39 This head could also be a good unhelmeted Stryfe head.

5:20 heck yeah! I’m rocking that head sculpt! I like the cable that looks like he is from a drab filled post apocalyptic world.

This will be the first Marvel Legends Cable that I keep. I’ve sold off every other one I’ve ever had, because I’ve never been a big fan of his more popular looks, but this version really appeals to me for some reason. Like you, I prefer the brighter colors, and the details in the uniform seem a lot cleaner and less exaggerated.

I love the head swaps. I still prefer the one with baggy shoulder pads.

I have watched your video a few times, don’t see if I commented. I am excited for this guy. I do think his colors are too bright for me, which I’ll remedy. I never played Marvel vs. Capcom and didn’t care for this similar suit in the comics back in the 90s. I’m going to dull down the colors, mustard yellow and browns rather than the bright lemon. I may even do a boot swap. I am very excited for this figure, despite my customization plans.

Look at the wittle tiny baby guns. The figure is awesome but I'm gonna have to buy a G.I Joe to get him and Bishop their proper size guns. These men are from the future the guns are huge. Plus I don't like that we are still getting pins in 2024. The prices are up, raise the quality the same.

Awesome review thanks! I think from the waist up this figure looks great! The legs are so small. Also wish they cast the knee down yellow, bc with the knee bent the break in the yellow boot is a bad choice. Agree with why use the right arm with pins and giving him a larger blaster. Cable likes his blaster. I so see this getting reuse with a darker shade later on…

I wish they would’ve made his right arm sleeveless like the picture on the back of the box. Would’ve been 10X better. Found a hack using a Hercules figure. If I find a Hercules for cheap I’ll customize it myself. Otherwise solid looking figure!

Personally I don’t like visible pins on the joints. If they bothered to make pin less legs just do the entire figure the same. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I wish the blue was closer to the '97 blue but I know he's not meant to go with them. But that's my intentions with this figure. Since it seems we might be in for a long wait for a wave 3. And even then, good chance he's not in it.

Excellent figure. Hasbro had to be Hasbro though by not giving us a bigger weapon for him and using that old right arm with pins.

I was wondering why they suddenly announced his "mutant savior" costume a few months back, then the most recent episode of X-men 97 aired. Clever Hasbro, clever.

Why not make the metal arm with the pin and the right arm painless. That would've made more sense

Cable here is not 'top heavey' if he matches the aethstetic of Marvel Versus Capcom 2. That was the primary goal! I had the previous Cable. (And Domino). But the plastic poured was terrible and every sprew place was ringed out like the inside of a tree!! I returned them to Target or Walgreens, wherever it was. I was so happy so have found them. Then SO disappointed. Does this new version of Cable have a good finish, or is he marbled or something?

That Cable looks like William Regal.

Not bad looking. Not amazing but decent work from hasbro. Best cable head at least from Hasbro so far. Looks decent overall. Still a reuse of the Hercules body. Its a decent bodysculpt. Sizing is ok since the blue jellow version/capcom version of cable also sometimes looks a bit smaller in the game or comics then his supposed to be 6'8" 350lbs the character should be.

Off topic: I draw. And I wonder what you guys think, if you draw, is the best action figure to model for me if I'm looking for muscular, mostly realistic, context. Like, I do not want to spend $100. Or else the answer to this question gets a lot easier. I'm saying, Marvel Legends, Diamond Select, GI Joe. Maybe SH Figuarts -- but still, that's pricey! I think, ML silver surfer. Or sh Figuarts Bruce Lee for higher end. What do you say?
