Cabo Girão is a lofty sea cliff located along the southern coast of the island of Madeira, in the Portuguese archipelago of Madeira. Cabo Girão is a popular lookout point, especially after a glass-floored viewing platform was installed in October 2012.
Video created in 2016, using a Phantom 3 Advanced drone.

Not highest sea cliffs in Europe as cliffs in Croaghaun Ireland are 688mtrs high, which is 108mtrs higher than the cliffs in Madeira but still the sea cliffs in Madeira are an impressive sight. Norway has the highest sea cliffs in Europe at 860mtrs high.

Hi, I believe I was here on holiday on this day that you filmed. I don't have the exact date I was there, but I remember someone filming with a drone. Unfortunately, I cannot tell if it is me in the shot as you pan around looking at all the people, is any of the footage in a higher resolution or was it in 1080p? I just want to know as I've been searching for the person who filmed there but it was hard to find it, this looks really promising and it would be great to find myself in it, if I am!

I believe at around the 0:54 mark, I remember there being quite a lot of people and watching the drone fly in front, I just don't remember what I was wearing which makes it difficult to tell if I am in that shot. Thanks very much for replying!

@@stevencrooks7201 Well they have been telling us wrong then. Haahahaha. For 29 years I have been living in Madeira and we always hear that. That is the highest cape in europe and second highest in the world. Im not sure if a cape and a cliff are the same thing or not.

In geological terms it is not, but politically and culturally it is European, it belongs to Portugal, French Polynesia is very different, since the vast majority of the population of these islands are Polynesians, not French, although it is an overseas collectivity of the French Republic, culturally it is not European.

You are right. Also, there also is one in Norway. Don't worry, I hope to visit Slieve league Cliffs in 2018 ( at end, all are amazing places to visit). Greetings from Madeira Native.
