I own a home in San Jose del Cabo & I had to stop the video in the 1st 2 minutes to give y'all some game. The taxi prices in Cabo are outragous so DO NOT fly into Cabo without having your transportation already arranged. EITHER have a car service from the resort you're staying already booked OR rent a car. But even the car rental game has a hustle built into it. Becaus they will claim the insurance you got online isn't real insurance. So if you opt to rent a car, you have to make sure that EITHER you get insurance that includes liability coverage (look for that specifically) OR you don't get the insurance online and get it when you arrive at the rental counter. Outside of that, Cabo is pretty darn close to perfect.

Los Cabos is a bit more expensive than most other Mexican resort areas, but still quite reasonably by international standards. With its large share of 5-star tourists, there are also many very expensive restaurants and shops, but still plenty of places suited to smaller budgets as well.

I’d just like to say I’m learning Spanish right now for travels and the fact that you have your girlfriend talking a lot with the subtitles is really helpful and teaching me a lot.

Oh, and one more thing about visiting Cabo (Actually, this applies for all of MX) Ace & I have different VISA's than most of y'all, but that visitor's visa that they rip off & hand back to you when you when you enter Mexico... BE SURE TO HOLD ONTO THAT!!! The reason is because they will want it back when you leave the country & if you don't have it, you will have to transfer some money into Pesos & "buy back" your right to leave the country 🙄 It's a TOTAL MONEY GRAB, so keep that little piece of paper with your passport & you'll be straight. And in case you're wondering... There are like 3 or 4 different types of Mexican visas Americans can get. The easiest way to get a visa where you don't have to leave the country every 90 days is to buy property down there because homeowners are automatically granted a resident's visa (You have to go apply for it, but if you own a home, you are automatically approved) The question most people have is: "do you really own the house you bought in Mexico?" and the anser is: mostly, yes. 🤣 Much like the way you have to pay property taxes in the US, you also have to pay property taxes in Mexico and you have to pay for a fideicomiso (A Mexican Land Trust). The good news is both of them are super cheap. Less than $1,000 every year. (And I could be wrong, but I don't believe you need a fideicomiso in Mexico City if you decided to buy there. He could correct me on that) Anyway, here's what you do: Buy your place, put it on AirBnb & VRBO, your renters end up paying your mortgage off, and when it comes time to retire you have a house waiting for you in paradise and it ended up costing you nothing! Thank me later 😉
