It's time to explore the first port of call on this 14-night cruise from Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale, Florida! This was my first ever cruise with Cunard, onboard Queen Elizabeth, so I had SO MUCH to discover!
In this episode, it's time to go ashore in Cabo San Lucas. I was here in my last series (onboard Carnival Panorama), but my last visit was cut short due to the impending arrival of a huge tropical storm. This time, we've got all day to explore, so let's get off the ship and see what's going on!
Once back onboard, I'll show you more of 'life with Cunard', as we explore the ship.

Beautiful day onboard and about ☀️. YES, correct regarding warnings on the beach front. I witnessed two very brave life guards pull a woman whom turned her back to the waves for a picture. The beach break is very step & very close with relentless waves. I was very relieved and in awe of their efforts to save a life. When the rescuers made it to the beach successfully, their eyes where as big saucers and greatly relived as well 👍

Yeah, they really should have more warnings about how steep it is - at parts, I’m not convinced I’d have been able to pull myself back out! Sorry you had to witness that - must’ve been stressful. Thanks so much for watching!

Agreed - it was such a strong room service menu - the food was such good quality! Sometimes a ‘stay in the room with the tv on’ dinner can be the best of the trip!!

the tender boat was definitely my favorite part of visiting Cabo via cruise ship :) everything else I’m pretty indifferent on LOL! “oh wait, thats a toy, oh wait, it’s available for sale” 🤣🤣 had me rolling the beach vendors watching this video: 👁️👄👁️💰❓

Such a marvelous day...but I do agree, being constantly accosted to buy, buy, buy can get rather annoying for me...and I know that by the time I get back my "no thank you" will surely have a bit of a snappy edge to it! lol But that ice cream cone would go a long way to soothe my soul! lol Continue to enjoy the adventure!!

@FraserAtSea sorry, as an ex Port Glasgow lad. ( now 77 ) I still love my fries too ( chips). I enjoy your videos, my wife and I are cruise lovers , 2 more coming up this year Queen Anne in September to Norway then Explorer of the Seas, Caribbean in Nov next year we have a trip to Hawaii then cruise to Vancouver.... busy spending our pensions before the Government takes it ... Cheers ... we must catch up sometime... BTW we live close to the Grand Canyon

Lovely video. I felt like I was back on board. I can understand why someone from Scotland would feel the heat. I live in Perth, Australia, where we've just had a run of days over 40 degrees. Not nice. It's autumn here now and the temperatures have gone down to 30. Hoping for some rain soon. We haven't had any since September.

I’m so glad it’s not just me - the whole world seemed to catch up with me early evening this night. Thankfully, I recognised I needed a bit of ‘down time’ before heading back out to face the rest of the ship. The prize was a bottle of wine (there were about 6 of us in the group, so we let one of the couples have it 😊) Thanks for watching!

Really interesting video with lots of good practical advice regarding the tenders and accessibility. Whilst it looks like a beautiful place, don’t think it’s really for me…. Although…. Did you say pelicans? Omg I love them almost as much as I love flamingos!!!

What time of year were you doing this cruise? Nice to hear that there is a lot of live music to chose from each evening, but a shame that it is pretty much over by 12. I'm not a party girl, but I also don't turn into a pumpkin at Midnight.

So this was Summer - August. Honestly, don’t worry - I thought I’d be the same, but I was knackered by the time the entertainment would finish!!

You were hot because you like most travelers, don't wear hats or long sleeves shirts/pants made of nylon/polyester. Being covered with clothing shades your skin from the heat and the direct sunlight. I have no clue why so many people walk around in shorts in the SUN and expect not to get hot. And Cabo is Americanized, and nothing special or authentic.

Fail point re clothing - I did learn that I should be wearing hats etc, and it did help! That said, it was the air that was hot here - not even just in the sunlight, ha! I don’t actually agree that Cabo is Americanised, but do agree that it isn’t authentically Mexican!
