My mother would scrape the cactus pulp and aloe vera gel into the blender and pour that into a glass. That was a part of our stomach cleansing ritual after the summer holidays with half an orange. She would also rub that mixture in my hair and put on my plastic bag for steaming. I didn't know why she did all that, but I still do it today. It makes sense now

In the caribbean cactus is the main thing to start locs and the growth is unbelievable and I didnt think for one minute it would work for natural hair as well.

Be careful with that because they are both protein rich so you don’t want to cause protein overload.

I would not advise applying this daily as it’s a protein and can have an adverse effect on your hair. I use it primarily as a prepoo (application before shampoo) or as a light leave in. Thanks for watching. 💖

Hey Tyeka Williams I do sometimes keep a little of it in my hair for styling. As for daily use, I do not use the gel everyday. A cactus oil however, would be more beneficial for weekly use. Thanks for watching. 💖
