Emerie with Scorch retrieve the specimen with high m-count from Cad Bane himself. More clips like this on the channel! #cadbane #emerie #scorch #thebadbatch
@@justiceriser8970 if he does then yeah, I think the whole brainwashing kids thing would put bane off for doing jobs for the empire in the long run most bounty hunters didn't respect the empire cause a majority of imperials were very much unworthy of even the slightest of respect.
I think bane was willing to work for the empire at first but eventually reached a breaking point with them due to the growing xenophobia and the imperial ranks being filled with the most pathetic unbearable worms imaginable so eventually said to himself this isn't worth the credits and chose to stick with crime syndicates and the reason he called out boba was probably because he kept accepting jobs from an empire that he saw unworthy of boba's services and probably saw boba as a cheap sellout. this is just a theory I could be way off the mark let's just see if Lucasarts makes new lore that may or may not confirm my theory.
@@johnstephen4847 Oh come on it was clearly meant to be dismissive, as if it's disgusting to him that boba work with the empire. In Cad's eyes it's as if he would work for the republic, never gonna happen, same with the empire
@@TheGreatLordDIO If Cad Bane wasn’t wanted for crimes and was paid highly enough, he would’ve worked for the Republic. Not once has Bane been shown to express any political inclinations, he only cares about getting paid. Even Jango Fett, when paid enough was willing to take a job benefiting the Republic. And others like Embo were shown to have worked in concert with all sides of the war at one point or the other. Bane was dismissive of Boba in that scene, not because he found that work disgusting but because he wanted to discredit Boba’s newfound reputation as a benevolent Daimyo in the eyes of Cobb Vanth and the other Freetown citizens.
During the Clone Wars, Cad Bane was kidnapping force sensitive children for Darth Sidious himself by personal request. Few years later he still hunts children for the new Empire of Darth Sidious. Darth Sidious motives and goals have remained the same throughout the years!
Like the Empire would of executed Bane for holding The Senate hostage and for his failed kidnapping of The Chancellor and for kidnapping Children during the war
@@haydenfowle7576 He would have no reason to keep Chancellor Palpatine and his senators as hostages in the first place if it wasn't about Zero the Hutt. If the whole incident with him took place during the Empire, it is highly possible that Jabba would arrange a deal with the Emperor without having the concerns and corrupt accusations of the other senators. Like Padme said, the rise of the Empire came with thunderous applause!
@@panospapiotis8370 the republic was already long gone well before the thunderous applause the jedi were just too blind to see it and padme's naivety blinded her to the truth until it was too late and all palpatine did was feed the corruption that was there even before he became a senator.
I like to think that Bane gave Emerie a small well-intentioned piece of advice when he said:"Asking questions like that, you give away more than you think" it almost sounds like "Look around you, Doctor, you are working for very dangerous people. Don´t do anything stupid"
I think Emerie is starting to see things from Omega’s point of view. She could very well be the key for the successful liberation of the clones on tantiss.
Boba might have done the same, he wasn’t the best of the best yet as he was still a teenager during this moment. it was mentioned that M count kids were reserved only for the class A bounty hunters.
@stockwatsonnu8518 I never assumed Cad Bane was trying to say he's better than Boba. In that scene, I always got the impression Bane was telling everyone that Boba was 'no better than' Bane. Which would be patently false because Bane would take any contract that benefited him. Regardless of morals or politics. We never see Boba be so ruthless. Even as a kid, he couldn't execute a prisoner even if it was his only path to vengeance on Mace Windu.
I still think she has a soft side thanks to Omega and realising what she's doing to those kids is wrong and probably betraying Hemlock for being a teachers pet It was awesome to see Cad Bane again but I wished he had more screen time 🤠
I love that he recognizes emerie isn’t completely on board with what the empire is doing and instead of giving her up he gives her advice, “asking questions like that gives away more then you think”
You cut off the best part when he tells Emerie that "asking those types of questions reveals more than you think". I liked it because it seemed like he was giving her some advice to keep it down low.
Sometimes I wish that the Luke, Leia, Han and Chewbacca captured Cad Bane during the era of the New Republic. The Senate would have no doubt given him the death penalty for his crimes. Multiple murder of Jedi and Clone Troopers, kidnapping children, attacking the Senate and attempted assassination of multiple Republic senators, assassination of Senator Philo, stealing a Jedi holocron, terrorizing Republic civilians, and let's not forget his number one crime: Aiding and abetting with Darth Sidious.
He’s a bounty hunter he’s immune to such crimes it’s how the law works doing that would violate the laws that are the basis for the Bounty Hunter system
Good. Can we have at least fully loyal clone in this show? Seems like every clone other than the nameless regs is disloyal to the Empire, which is weird because none of them had their inhibitor chips removed.
I dont necessarily want a redemption moreso an explanation about delta squad, about why Scorch’s character seems really grim & why he’s so close to the empire.
This was heartbreaking that poor little one being taken away from their mother 😢 Lord knows why it’s tugging at my heart strings I’m normally a heartless monster 😅😅
It's pretty in line with how he was in Legends after losing Sev. Scorch lost his sense of humor and became rather cold and bitter in hia service to the Empire as mentioned in the book, Imperial Commando: 501st.
@@CloneCommanderCrater1102 That’s a good point and that could definitely be it but, the game and those books are not considered canon anymore and we really don’t have much info on delta in canon. I hope we get an updated Star Wars enciclopedia or something that gives us a little more insight on scorch and the rest of Delta squad.
@kuleyklips5324 Even though the game isn't officially canon anymore, there's nothing in it that is contradicted by the current canon. Also, even though Delta Squad wasn't specifically mentioned, it is canon that squad of commandos was sent to Kashyyyk to rescue chieftain Tarfful, which is the same mission that Delta undertook in the game.
Would be nice to know why Scorch is specifically with the cloning program (other than the obvious fan service) and where rest of the Delta Squad is. And if they follow the same path as in the Republic Commando game where Sev supposedly sacrifices himself on Kashyyyk considering they're directly canonizing some parts of old Legends content even if some details are different.
I think Bane will reach a breaking point with the empire sooner or later most imperials would become the most unbearable employers ever and I think he saw boba as a cheap sellout for repeatably taking jobs for what Bane saw as a bunch of pathetic arrogant losers, so Bane probably chose to stick with crime syndicates because they probably did business better than a vast majority of imperials whom in their arrogance would try to alter the deal only Vader could get away with altering the deal cause one he had the power to back up committing such an act and two I think he only did it to people he had no real respect for.
Ngl, all the comments talking about "TBOBF and Bane saying Boba worked for The Empire when he did the exact same thing himself" are annoying me. Very few people seem to realize what Bane's true intentions were in that time. I doubt Bane was pushing the blame on Boba rather than himself. Bane knows damn well he's a bad guy that does bad things, and he seems to take pride in his reputation. He told Cobb Vanth about Boba's past in an attempt to change Cobb's mind about joining forces with Fett. Bane wanted to make Boba look bad so that Cobb Vanth and the rest of Free Town would have second thoughts about joining Boba to aid him in his battle with the Pyke Syndicate. None of that had to do with Bane's own reputation. I guess that further proves that Cad Bane is MUCH smarter than people realize. This scene in The Bad Batch only adds to that.
Nah. Kidnapping force-sensitive infants is Bane's thing, not hunting for adolescent "gallerinas" at auction houses (try the Zygerrians or the Hutts for that sort of behavior).
@@helghast1149 I dont know about that. cad bane went toe to toe with two jedis at once. and he easily beats ahsoka tano. so I doubt scorch can win on his own lol
I’m surprised palpatine would let bane roam free in the imperial era considering how much he knows then again discretion is the mark of any good bounty hunter
Apologies to people who like Cad Bane, but I can’t take him seriously. I know he’s this big bad bounty hunter who is ruthless and lawless, but when a character shares a VA with Mole from Atlantis: The Lost Empire, any kind of intimidation falls flat for me. 😂
They better give a good reason for Scorch being so cold-hearted. I loved it as a kid playing Republic Commando. Now, he's just some lackey with no personality.
They're doing that to scorch for one reason only: The Bad batch is meant as a replacement for both Delta/Omega squads & the Null ARCs in one package. That's it, that's their whole stihck. And since the batch tends to be lacking in personality that isn't outside of their specific trope, they have to downplay other better characters to make the batch look good.
Sev's sacrifice on Kashyyyk will probably be canon in some way and after that, combined with the inhibitor chip, Scorch lost his humanity. Just wish they could explore Delta Squad in some comics or books that are canon if they're not making a game.
If they were so deadset on using a delta squad member they could have easily used Fixer here. Fixer was the coldest and would fit helping a scientist over scorch.
What's the point of scorch? Why bring back a legacy character and butcher his character with no context at all? Dave filoni's idea no doubt. Should've been boss if he was so determined
What you want if they remain loyal to the empire they will follow orders till the end, forgeting it be 20 years till the emperor dies and how many will suffer and die during that time.
