This is my small collection of Cadbury's Cococub Lead Figures from the 1930s. I've had these since I was a child. Actually they were given to me by my Dad who also had them when he was a child. Apparently they were originally issued with tins of Cadbury's Cocoa drink between 1934 -1939. It's been interesting researching these as, despite having always had them, I've never quite known what they actually were. I only found out what they actually are a few weeks ago after some intensive internet research. The figures themselves were made by toy manufacturer Britains and were all designed by Ernest Aris. Apparently these figures were huge back in the day and spawned fan clubs, books, games and much more. I have about 22 lead figures on show here but I believe there were about 32 figures the were available to collect at the time. Hope you enjoy the collection.
