My son and I did that road several years ago in our minivan and had no problems. We have a 4WD now. Can’t wait to get back to the Smokies. We just finished up the northern section of the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail.

I loved this video. We just want tell you both how much we enjoy watching you and Dawn. You all will relish the memories when you get old of being together and enjoying each other's company while having fun. My husband and I are 66 years young and truly enjoy each other and love trying new experiences. I'm gonna do zipping this year when we come back.

Back in the 90's we took one of the one way primitive roads in Coves Road. If it is the one you are on, boy has it improved. The one we did was just a pig trail. We always stayed in Townsend at the Tally Ho and ate at the little restaurant beside the motel. We always had the same waitress too, she would tell us about teaching her kids to drive on that pig trail. Thank ya.ll for showing this video. Cades Cove is one of my favorite places, can spend hours there.

The little yellow jeep is a special part of the channel. It does have its own fan club. I loved the drive through. We have never seen that part of Cades Cove. Thank you for taking us along. The wildflowers were beautiful. The bear clubs were a real treat to see.

That off-road area looks like the place where movies like, 'Pumpkin head', 'Wrong Turn' and 'Food of the Gods' were filmed. I was waiting for a gaggle of hillbillies to come running out of that treeline! LOL! Great video, BTW.

Can never get enough of Cades Cove! One of my All-Time Favorite Places! Such Beauty, Such Peace, So much History! Always imagine the lives of those that lived there. Certainly was a hard, hard life but a much simpler time that seems to have brought more joy and peace than most people experience today! The Animals, the Views, the Fresh Air, etc. All provide a calming effect that makes me take thought of life and what really matters!

My wife and I went on this 8-22. We have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee and I was nervous driving. Definitely some spots I had to go slow to navigate around holes and rocks. I was wishing we had a Jeep like yours. And then we were on the Tail of the Dragon! A stressful day for me!

All the times we have drove thru Cades Cove we haven't taken any of the side roads but this road was a beautiful peaceful drive.... Thanks Guys.... It wld be a beautiful drive in the snow with 4 wheel of course..... I was getting so tickled at Dawn during the drive ..... Love ya guys.... God Bless
