Hey... fellas. I'm the second bass drummer in the Cadets 2000 line, and my name is Nick Kline. Thanks for the shoutout and I'm glad you took my advice and marched!

I was on drum staff BK95-97 and I can tell you firsthand, those dudes had hands for days AND they fought for quality in every note. By today's standards, maybe they played a little "hard," but the results were amazing. I was very, very lucky to be able to watch that every day. Ralph's books always speak for themselves.

I was supposed to be in the BK 95 pit (made it all the way to April camp) but the money didn’t work out and I had to bail. Went back in 96 and aged out in 98. Then I got to teach the BK 2k pit for finals tour. Those years shaped me musically in ways that I’m still realizing like 20+ years later. And Dean, I remember you well. Fantastic bass tech! Ralph is still legendary! Ok, I’ll shut up now. Robin “Biskit” Brannon

you guys, this warms my soul to see bk 95 get props. Having marched 00 blue stars and 01 cap reg under kris hartman, who marched in bk 95's snareline, it's just so great for a) these lot vids to be digitized and preserved, and b) for the truth to be revealed, haha. that line was a crew of monsters. additional props for including star 93 and 00 cadets--who were totally NOT the hype that summer (cavs were just destroying everyone (rightly so))-but who, in hindsight, had a really great book and line and who have much to be proud of. also 00's bk line was the sh*t--alright, thanks so much for revivifying this era, yall!

16:50 I always wondered if Tom Float was drunk, lol. It almost seemed like he was insulted that his line that clearly had a beefier book than the Cadets lost to them with a perfect score. Of course looking back and Kevin Murray (marched BD Snare 86-88) said this, the scoring sheets were evolving and the Cadets staff knew this, hence the perfect score.
