Joel reviews the Cadex Strike Nuke Evo. It's got so many features for the money. Lots of thought and detail went into this, and I'm guessing you didn't know you needed it, but you probably do! What rifle would you put in this? Comment below.

Initially our local gun store put a Bergara B14r trainer carbon barrel in this stock which truly was over kill. I switched the stock for a Tundra Cadex stock which is much better for .22 shooting and now the rifle is balanced when I pick it up. Don'y worry though as I just bought a used Remington 700 VTR .223 and put the barrel & action into the Strike Nuke Evo stock and it is a perfect well balanced rifle. Also bought two 5 round Accurate Mags which in my opinion look much better in the rifle than the 10 round one I initially bought. Just my opinion. :)

Good to know that it can be purchased for under $600 USD. My Dream Stock used to be the Bell & Carlson Varmint/Tactical fully adjustable. This is a more "futuristic" and 'featuristic' version of the B&C with the AICS bottom metal included (Savings!). I only wished it were available for more rifles ( Browning X-Bolt; Thompson Center Venture & Compass; Ruger American & Hawkeye; Savage 10). I prefer these types of stocks over chassis systems. Thanks for the video.

like the vortex razor hd you have mounted on the rifle..... what are the scope ring heights on the vortex precision rings?
@PrecisionRifleNetwork

I believe these rings are the "high" ones. 1.0"....and they are Seekins. (basically the same as the Vortex rings.)

Ariya Le really not sure. I haven’t seen either of those optics yet. I’m thinking the Arken would be a good choice.

Cheaper than last time I checked up on it. Also I believe the Tikka inlet is about 130 bucks more. Any retailer you know about that has them in the states? Or have to get direct from Cadex Defense?

What magazine are you running? I tried a MDT poly/metal mag and its not fitting. Curious to what you are running?
@DLN-ix6vf
@DLN-ix6vf 3 года назад
I bought the same and they won't fit properly. Buy Accurate Mags 5 or 10 round metal. Personally I like the look of the 5 round mags better. Ps: if your in Canada like me most gun shops have the 10 round metal mags. but only BigHorn in BC has the 5 round metal mags.

Question for Cadex people. When do you call it a chassis vs stock ? I'm confused about the names
@PrecisionRifleNetwork
@PrecisionRifleNetwork 3 года назад
This is a valid question with some of these "crossover" stocks. Not really a stock. Not really a chassis. Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you on that.
@DLN-ix6vf
@DLN-ix6vf 3 года назад
@@PrecisionRifleNetwork so my Strike Nuke Evo looks like a chassis from the trigger handle forward and a stock from the trigger back. I will call it a "crossover " from here-on-in :)

how do u like this nuke chassis compare to krg bravo? i’m thinking to choose one between these two.
@martingagnon4547
@martingagnon4547 4 года назад
The plastic on the KRG feels cheap compare to the composite of the Stike nuke. I also prefer the grip of the Cadex. Both stock will fonction well. The cadex is about 5 pounds and 3 pounds for the KRG... I thought it would be worth noticing.
@PrecisionRifleNetwork
@PrecisionRifleNetwork 4 года назад
I personally would choose the cadex. (I do own both). I like the Cadex better for the rigidity, the looks, and that spring-loaded cheek riser. Sometimes it's the small things.

@@PrecisionRifleNetwork how about the cadex vs mdt xrs? I'm eyeballing all 3 stocks for my tikka.
@PrecisionRifleNetwork
@PrecisionRifleNetwork 4 года назад
@@prone_wolf8871 first off I have to let you know that this channel is sponsored by MDT. I don't let that sway my choices because they don't force their products on me. I typically choose MDT stuff because I've been using them for years now and really like them. In all honesty the XRS and Strike Nuke are fairly similar in features. The XRS is a bit cheaper and I personally like the looks a bit better. I don't think either one is a bad choice at all.
@prone_wolf8871
@prone_wolf8871 4 года назад
@@PrecisionRifleNetwork thanks for the heads up man! Out of the xrs and the strike nuke which would you say is stiffer under recoil? I'm looking at these to go on my tikka in 300wsm so I wanted to know how it will handle recoil forces....or at least your opinion which might so better.... I was actually curious if the aluminum part of the xrs extends to the back of the stock or if it's just in the grip like the strike nuke

We do pronounce some words differently because we pronounce and enunciate English at a higher level. :) Like it's a Zed300 not Zee300. Americans have also dropped the "u" in words like colour , flavour , etc. for whatever reason but don't worry most Canadians are well read and can read between the lines when an American speaks lol ! Oh except the word "aluminum" the English pronunciation is quite different than Canadian way.
@plank3000
@plank3000 3 года назад
@@DLN-ix6vf so saying “passta” means you’re educated at a higher level? the zed thing doesn’t make sense either because you don’t add “ed” to any of the other letters. I went to high school in Canada and day one math the teacher said “zed” and I asked what that was and he though I was being a smart ass. I really was being a smart ass after though when I started saying “bed, ded, red, ted, sed, etc”
