We had a fully loaded 95 for almost twenty years. It never stranded us and the 4.9 was absolutely bullet proof. We finally sold it in 2015 and it’s still out there doing it’s thing.

I think she was just worried about the valve cover gasket on her Northstar engine. Despite the salesman's reassurance about Cadillac quality, she knew that these things could blow at any moment. And when that inevitably happened, she also knew that her lovely new car would be mechanically totalled and worth nothing. Poor woman, no wonder she looked pained.

I've made a similar comment on the 1997 Chevrolet Caprice (?) (Buick?) video uploaded a few weeks ago: For a 1990s car it looks quite old fashioned...a slightly more rounded version of what they were making 2 decades earlier. Compare this to the BMWs, other European and Japanese saloons that you could buy in 1994. It's surprising that GM didn't go under by the turn of the millennium.
