For the price, it's not a bad package. However, the matte PVD coating, combined with a glossy crystal, doesn't work together. The cyclops - love or hate them - is also out of place. Use an aluminum bezel and get rid of the cyclops, and it would start to make a lot more sense. Overall not bad, but to rearrange a popular saying: the whole is less than the sum of it's parts.
I really wish there was a black dial with a bracelet option, even if it was in stainless steel. This is near perfect, almost exactly what I was looking for.
John. Hopefully a V2 will have much better lume on the indices. The mechanical and case improvements make a good potential future watch for my collection. I really like the crown over the SKX one that is better recessed into the case. The quality of Cadisen has improved and grown over the last year but the price is still fabulous compared to San Martin and other overpriced Ali Express models. Great review John, food for thought with this one.
I don't normally like black watch cases but this one doesn't look at all bad. If the hand and indices lume colour was white, to match the bezel markings, I would buy it. I could be tempted by either the orange or blue ones though, especially at the current offer price, but the cyclops would have to go!
Thanks for the video John. The watch looks nice, but could use a bit of AR coating ... and maybe a strap that isn't so busy on the underside. I actually liked the lume color.
Yes, the upgrades in the movement, lug width, crystal and bezel action are welcome, but...that cyclops and the mis-matched font on the dial just throw me off. After all, you should enjoy wearing something that you enjoy looking at throughout the day, and I just can't ignore the aesthetic miss-match. Also, why should I have to buy a watch that knowing I have to deal with removing that cyclops? That being said...I may run into a grail that I am fine with doing that some day, lol. But this is no grail. I feel there will be another brand that has a more appealing branding that I spend my money on. Thanks John for the review. I call this watch a "close but no cigar".
I have a San Martin Stealth style turtle with slightly darker induces lumed bezel with black c3 super lume and black chromed hands and lumed. I love it so much I don't care about the poor Legibility. I have the same watch in blue and red stealth lume series black cases. The lume in anything other than white or the green is going to be disappointing. I really like it. I might get one.
Hi Tomas. I grew up with watches being a tool. I played in them, climbed with them, played football with them on. I see watches as a tool to be used. I buy other watches that I can baby but my old Pulsar field is nearly twenty years old and has a mineral crystal ( with mineral Cyclops )...and it does not get babied. Still no visible scratches:)
