Not really the 8x8 version, n'est pas? Rather, it's the standard 6x6. I saw the title in my feed and thought we were getting a look at the 8x8 with the automatic shell loading system rather than the semi-automatic. Colour me disappointed.

@@sharky0922 Well do not hesitate to ask to ISIS ^^' Because a couple of CAESAR were sent to Irak in order to support the iraqi army (task force Wagram). And their results were pretty impressive. Mobile, great rate of fire and highly accurate...

I see one problem with this setup. Look how much shaking is when gun fires. You can see how it bends in the middle. It puts loads of force on the middle of that truck. Wouldnt be better to have tires on the ground supporting stability? main recoil would still go to base.

Or at least add stabilizers on the middle sides.

Not really… The recoil force is directly backwards through the gun, the trunnions and to the rear of the vehicle. The shaking you see happens after the shell has left the muzzle, so accuracy is unaffected. Recoil is then transferred directly through steel to the ground. To force it through the suspension means wear and tear on the suspension.

achtungcircus and instead overal structure is stressed? lol hows that any better. you can actually see how it bends. you argument dont make any sense. if wheels where on the ground but base was still down it would go mostly to the base. not the the wheels. cause base its stiff it wont bend.

+Sharky Physics. There is some rotational force around the trunnions. That forces the rear down and the front up, well within chassis load limits. The primary force, however, is through a carefully calculated and designed pathway to the spades. Newton's 3rd law is in play here, you know, physics. LOL yourself. The wheels are either bearing some load, and therefore accepting wear and tear, or they are not. Fascinating that someone who watches a 9:05 minute video has figured out something that the engineers have not.

achtungcircus actually watch more videos ceaser shooting. wheels are on the ground. only initial shoots when they up..until base digs itself down. moron
