How curious that Caesar, harrowed and heartbroken, would hallucinate not his beloved wife or son, but his once-brother turned archnemesis as being the one to tenderly coax him into eternal slumber. Koba kindly cupping Caesar's face is so extraordinarily unusual, for surely even before Koba grew mad with envy and spite he would have never touched his King so intimately (get your head out of the damn gutter). To me, this speaks volumes to Caesar's emotional isolation and how fractured Koba's murder, at his own hands no less, left Caesar. Simply, Caesar wished to have his brother back. And perhaps, because he is who he is, Caesar felt great guilt for not realizing Koba's inner rage and fear earlier and wished that he could have somehow lifted Koba from his origins of abuse and neglect and brought him to the light, so to speak. (Wow, over-analyzing, much?)
he also realise dhow much like Koba he had become, Revenge was never on the books for Caesar in the previous films, he put his family at great risk to avenge his son and wife
To me, Koba is one of the best written villain in Planet of the apes franchises. A tragic, broken, and pure evil of never letting go his hate is the best character for a villain. I couldn't possibly hate Koba, or even blame him, he's been experiment on, lost his mother, and tortured by the humans. Ceasar loved him like a brother, but it's a great shame to put him down because hes a threat to the society, and he's become even worse than the humans. And he wasn't born evil, he was made.
@@kbcinematicuniverse5532 both bonded and fought together for what each believed to be a noble cause (the liberation of their species); yet one chose compassion was willing to take the higher road while the other refuse to let go of hate.
At the beginning of the video? That's when he's in the military base and up on that cross. It's really Red who walks up but he's hallucinating that it's Koba :(
I cannot stress enough to say how much I fucking hated the military leader in war, rocket and caesar I like more than koba, but I defenitly wouldve rather have seen koba get ahold of him and just kill him in the most ruthless way, also, koba was 8 years older than rocket and maurice and caesar, and he had been experimented on since birth so it's understandable that they couldnt see why he hated humans
The 4th film will be like The lion king 2 there will not be the original king but his son will rule and Ceasar might guide him (maybe) in his hallucinations.
Sorry for the late response! "Firestorm" takes place after the first movie when they're trying to survive in the redwood forest, and it gives flashbacks of Koba's childhood. It's really sad. The PotA books are actually pretty good, I enjoyed them.
