I love the idea of planned cities, especially ones with more greenery. It's interesting what city planners are coming up with nowadays in order to give a pleasant view while still fulfilling the needs of residents. And that park!! That canal strip!! I'm actually in love.

Did exactly this when I travelled to korea in autumn of 2019. Since I went solo, my itinerary was inspired by a lot of the places I watched in your videos- haneul park, sokcho, seoul forest park, etc. thanks cari!!

I love that this planned city has so much greenery, water & is accessible by foot or bike. All too often the appartments get built & the rest of the infrastructure is forgotten, leaving you wondering who would ever want to live there.

Definitely! It seems like they actually made the green and public spaces first, and are now just filling in all the residential!

You always hear about these "cities of the future" but it's hard to design something completely new in dense urban areas. Its good to see a city that ran with the concept and here it seems much more natural and integrated then what you might imagine ! Also I've never seen an affogato taken to those levels before; that was very creative lol

Cheongna looks wonderful! Yup the place at 15:28 I imagine would be playing great music since that’s my favorite band. Also how you said it’s still summer in Korea!! today when I was walking with my dog I was like oh wow it’s definitely getting colder .

"These brand new cities popin up" ... in the same second I thought of when here in Ger,amy parts of districts get new houses, but the feel between both is totally different since if you would say "brand new cities popin up" in Germany than everyone most likly just thinks of a place like 10 streets with just new homes in a allready existing district of a place xD

This is so nice! It really seems like a city that was planned for humans and not for cars, which is rare these days in my opinion. When I visit Seoul, Cheongna for sure is going to be a day trip (or two) for me :)

Such a beautiful town! If you love this kind of cities which consist of many buildings and beautiful lakes like Cheongna, then I would highly recommend you to visit Songdo which is located in Incheon as well! I've never visited Cheongna but when I visited Songdo, it was so lovely to just take a walk around. I'd love to visit Cheongna too because the vibes of it are so similar to Songdo 😍

Planned cities so cool to me, I like both old cities with a history and planned cities........ But honestly I'd like it more if I plan the city............. But still I'm jealous of all the livable walkable cities, I moved from a small town to a bus centric city and it's been hellish since. Cheongna looks so nice, just the right balance of chill and city feel. BTW South Korea has so many fancy sedans like near Odam there was an Audi (and that pretty Chevrolet) every time I look at SK traffic there's an Audi.
