Hello!! Welcome back to my channel and part two of my Korea travel series!! I first want to preface this by saying we were in Seoul for a work trip, so between the limited time and having stomach flu from a meal prior to my trip (🥲), these were the only few we were able to visit. As mentioned in the intro, Seoul has over 18,000 cafes; from animal cafes to themed cafes, so I hope to be back next time to experience it properly!!

So happy to see you experience the cafe culture in Korea!! It don't stop there thoo I'm very lactose so when I went to Korea I was scared about the milk as well, but the dairy there is actually more tolerable for me! I sucked it up bc I was too afraid to ask if they had other milk options, turned out fine 8/10 times :')

If I remember correctly, I believe I had to use the KakaoMap app for a few of the coffee shops as some were in Korean!

What are your tips for someone wanting to visit Seoul, but has never been? :)

It was my first time as well! I would recommend downloading the apps Kakao Map or Naver to navigate around. It was super helpful with walking & taking the subway! I would also try exchanging your currency at your bank before traveling to korea so you get the best exchange rate. Aside from that, it wasn't too difficult to get around. I found most workers at the cafes understood english, however, I used the app Papago to communicate when there was a language barrier. It translates everything in real-time so you can converse on the spot. So helpful!

I've had the matcha from the Cafe Kitsune in NY and it wasn't overly sweet at all! Interesting that they're different. I love cafe culture as well so definitely taking notes from this video for when I'm in Seoul :)
