These are not motorcycles, they are pure expression of art and inteligent design. It made me emotional and almost made me cry in some cases. It's the most pure love for motorcycling.
Apparently I need to move to another country where Cafe Bikes are more popular like Portugal or Brasil. Hahaha! Maybe that's why I love the cafe bike so much. Falo Portuguese e tenho tantos saldades do Brasil. I'm glad you did this video. Like last year, I love seeing the breakdown of the voting by bike and country. Thanks for all your hard work. Abraco
+Ride AMAP (As Much As Possible) Thank you my friend. I must say that the number of Brazilian Viewers of Racer TV doubled during last year. Brazil is now the fourth biggest country watching Racer TV videos. :) Thank you for all your support my friend. Cheers.
Greetings from Russia! First of all I would like to thank the author of this amazing channel for his job. These videos are full of passion and inspiration. I've finished with rebuilding the engine of my Yamaha TRX850 just in my apartments room. Can I offer to make a video about some interesting project based on TRX? Somebody said about it - "I just want to be a Ducati, but I don't want". The main feature is inline twin with 270 degrees ignition in a "Ducati type" steel frame. Anyway, I wish all the best to the channel and it's maker. Thank you so mush.
+Безумный Макс Thank you my friend for all your kind words. You're absolutely right. The engine sound is really amazing, seems almost identical to a Ducati V twin. I did not know that bike. Thank you for your suggestion. Send me a picture of your bike(by message) to Racer TV Facebook Page. Cheers.
All these bike's are fabulous, but not all are Café Racer's, a true C/F should be built in your shed, as the vast majority were, by people with a little bit of knowledge and skills, whereas the majority of these could only have been built by craftsmen, with great knowledge and specialist skills and the tools to match. I love the chanell by the way
The innovative gear-head tinkerer's, craftsmen/women, engineers, mechanics, etc., ideas and iterations here are fascinating and so varied. I love these wild and practical motorcycles illustrated in this video. Excellent, and as usual very inspirational! :-)
This is a really cool video. I think that the honda cx 500 was may favorite build. Some of the honorable mentions where pretty sweet as well. Great video!!
I am new to your channel. I'd just subscribed today, however, that no. 17 motorcycle really hit me hard. That is the one I really like maybe due to what seems to be a simple design. It leaves an impression that it is light. I specially appreciate the combination of the rear and front suspensions which gives a sense of modernity to the overall design. Thank you.
+Jesse Jaway (Lush) Thank you for sharing your opinion. If you liked that Honda Cb 350, i'm sure you will love the bike on my new video, which is going to be published tomorrow. :) Cheers.
Hello my friend, Some amazing bikes and well deserved praise and recognition! Whilst these bike deserve this recognition what about the spirit of the cafe racer? In that bikes built and ridden by the owner in their own garage with limited tools and materials, funds and in many cases skills (but valuable learned new skills and experience)! How about compiling a "top list" of home built cafe racers? They may not be as beautiful or refined but maybe they will be a true representation of the cafe racer spirit! Still love this channel and always look forward to the Friday's post! Cheers Mac
+Whitley Bay .Tunnel of Love Don't worry. I'm working on a home built cafe racers Top 10 video. Unfortunately, making this happen is much harder than you think. I have to make sure that the quality of the video and bikes, respect the usual standards of Racer TV. But thanks for sharing your suggestion. Cheers.
+giancarlexio Thank you. I'm not sure, but i think Venezuela is one of the Countries that wasn't included in the 2014 Top 30 video. But if that happened, it was only because of a very small number of votes. :) Saludos.
Also on your comment about motorcycles being nearly works of art...by definition a work of art can be made only to be observed so any functional purpose such as being used to ride automatically disqualifies it from being art. Only a technical point but interesting none the less. Some awesome bikes :)
Definitely that extend the range in the beauty of the design of this type of motorcycles. The taste of the design certainly has a national component and not stop to calling the attention to me, that at least 4 other countries so diffetent to mine had chosen a design so streamlinend as the Yamaha XS 650 from Auto Fabrica, a bike that looks set to fly. Un bello video amigo
+Alejandro Monzon Thank you my friend Alejandro. You're absolutely right. The different tastes between Countries is something very interesting. :) Saludos.
WOW! Amazing! I'm impressed to know that the two countries with most votes are Portugal and Brazil. I'm form Brazil and I find this amazing. I got a cafe racer myself, it's a Honda 450 dx 89. Can I send you pictures of her?
+Vojtsin I think because it is rare to find an RU-vid channel in Portuguese, maybe people give more value and want to participate in this type of election. Yes, you can send me the picture by facebook. Abraço.
excelentes .. en realidad son muy pocas las que me gustaron . . pero ahi que reconocer la imaginacion y perfomance de cada una de ellas y de quienes lo hicieron .. saludos . cheers from Mexico ..
Still, all great bikes 👍😆. But I'm not surprised that there are 4 BMW and 2 Moto Guzzi bikes on the top list in the Netherlands and a Ducati of course 😈 vrrrroooomm !! Great vid again, and yes i'm going to watch this video again, not only to drool over some very beautiful bike's but to study the difference in taste a little closer per country .
+ThatDutchguy Thank you my friend. You're absolutely right. The different tastes between Countries is something very interesting. Just like you, it seems that everybody agree with the Top 10 of their own Country. :) Cheers.
Excellent video, as usual. Not only do I love to see the bikes you present but I feel you have excellent taste in music to create the perfect mood. My favorite of all time is 03/13/15 Tips to find a Bike with Soul. What is that incredible music. Can you give credit to the music you use? Cheers! Peter / Canada
+Peter Schattmann Thank you my friend for your support. I never inform the origin of the song in the video discription, only because of technical reasons which are hard to explain. But if you ask me, i can always inform. This background music is based in this original version: "Kavinsky - Nightcall" (Piano cover). Cheers.
Thank you. Unfortunately, things are more complicated than most people may think. I use this "robotic" voice created by software, because i'm Portuguese, and my bad english accent (and voice), can ruin the documentary character that i like for my videos. I already tried a real american voice in one of my videos, but things didn't worked as i expected. Curiously, the robotic voice sounds very good for all non english natives. The soundtrack is based in this version: "Rue du Soleil - Where is ". Cheers.
+Fabiano Clemente Tem toda a razão.
+Fernando J Ferreira Jr Tem toda a Razão Fernando. Lol. Um abraço.
my dear friend, it's amazing the way in which the taste for coffee racers changes depending on the area of the planet, I saw it last year and I see one more time this year .... I have a question: why not Costa Rica it appears in the list of countries? Am I the only fan of Costa Rica? a hug from here :) hope to see you next week .....
+Turbo Dreams Well my friend, seems that you are really the only Racer TV fan in Costa Rica. If you voted correctly, here are your favorite bikes: 04- Harley Davidson Ironhead by Hazan Motorworks 16- Yamaha XS 650 By Auto Fabrica 13- BMW R100R by Diamond Atelier 27- BMW R100 Sprintbeemer by Lucky Cat Garage Am i right?
What I like with these bikes is that the focal point is always the engine and everything starts taking shape around this. Even the size or shape of the tank is made according to the way the motor looks, or the actual stance of the bike is dictated by the way the engine fits on the frame. I assume these bikes since there all hand made, they need a lot of time and endless man hours to look like that at the end.
+jerryx2000 Well, according to Triumph, this new model is the closest as a manufactured bike can get to a cafe racer. But everything depends about your own personal definition of what a cafe racer bike should be. Cheers.
In my opinion as an motorcycle enthusiast, there should be no discrimination, like making a machine number 1 or deciding the top 30. I think there shouldnot be any ranking, as each of them is a work of art and something like that cannot be judged by marks or ranks.....

sempre muito bom seus videos, eu gostaria de mandar fotos da minha Café, como posso fazer isso? Abraço e até a próxima.....
I knew that the Honda CX500 was going to be in either First or Second place!!! I want a CX500 so bad now man lol...Seriously! Or I would also like to find one of those BMWs as well, One with a Boxer Engine... I think the one I like is the R80.... I think. The sound that the Boxer Engines and the Honda CX500 VTwin Engines puts out is just Superb!! You dont even need Exaust on these Motors, Just leave them Straight piped and they will do the talkin!
Thank you. But unfortunately, things are more complicated than most people may think. I use this "robotic" voice created by software, because i'm Portuguese, and my bad english accent (and voice), can ruin the documentary character that i like for my videos. Actually, I liked the bottom 10 much more than the top ten which I found for the most part had too much design emphasis rather than the raw functionality of a true cafe racer. The Beemer was nice though.
I've been riding motorcycles since 1967 and I have never seen so many ugly motorcycles as there are now being offered by motorcycle manufacturers, especially the so-called 'adventure' and 'hypermotard' style bikes. The sport-bikes have cookie-cutter sameness, but there are some good looking naked bikes. Triumph has the right idea with their new Bonneville and Thruxton model line. The motorcycle manufacturers should take some inspiration from the beautiful custom Café motorcycles for insight concerning how a road bike should look. A lot of new riders don't give a crap about huge hp numbers cos there is always a faster bike so who cares? A motorcycle that looks and sounds cool will sell in volume, ask Harley!
+gwwayner Thank you Sir for sharing your comment. I understand and agree with almost everything you said. But i think the main motorcycle Manufacturers, are already understanding the importance of Cafe Racers. :) Cheers.
I think too many people misunderstand the concept of a Cafe Racer and think a customised bike with a chopped saddle and fancy frame work constitutes a Cafe Racer. Firstly the bike must be carefully chosen and a boxer BMW and Honda CX500 misses the point by a mile. Hookie, Old Empire's Honda and Kawasaki and also The Spark of the Racer got it right. Those are Cafe Racers.
I understand your perspective. It seems you are near from the purest side of Cafe Racers. But here is a different view of that matter: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PVIlLAeFpxM.html Cheers.
