In fact, the original track 'Las Flores' is what you call the first half, the 2nd half is only for this MTV Unplugged. Violin 🎻 the same in spanish, violín. Café Tacuba is one of my favorite bands of all times. I like this version which is different than the one in "Re" album. That second part you mentioned was part of the Unplugged. I don't know much of North American Bands with the same style and rhythms but I am glad you enjoyed it and appreciate the Latin American music. Please upload videos about good but unknown songs outside USA.

Cafe Tacvba is for me the best expression of Mexican modern music at least on a mainstream level. They used to mix alternative rock, ska, rap, urban, and folklore. These guys are from Mexico's biggest city at the center of our nation and they added the Huapango at the end which is a typical folk music from the eastern coast. Wonderful choice.

I am very happy, I am one of those who recommended this song in particular, Café Tacuba is undoubtedly the most important group of Mexican rock, plus it is one of the most endearing. I commented to you in a previous video that the second part is the huazanga, a type Son de Veracruz, the original recording does not include this mixture; I recommend that you listen to the complete album from which this song is released, it is called "Re" and is considered by Rolling Stone magazine as the best album in Mexican rock and compares it to the Beatles' white album. The producer of this recording is Gustavo Santaolalla, winner of the Oscar for his Score of the movie Brockback Mountain. Another interesting point of this video from Las Flores is that the recording of this Unplugged is that it is really acoustic, there is not a single electric instrument. Thank you very much for your good wishes, yesterday we passed a strong shock with the earthquake, but fortunately Mexicans are doing well. Now that you are listening to music from other countries, I recommend you to the Argentine band Soda Stereo, in particular your great hit "de música Ligera" or the Unplugged version of "En la ciudad de la Furia" you will love it.
