Cagerium or iSpawners? - Vault Hunters 1.18 Guide 

The guide house will be absolutely insane by the time I'm finished 😂 I'm building another room today!

Interesting 🤔 that's the sort of thing I would normally put in a beginners guide but I've been holding off making it for a while until the changes settle

@@Hellfirem4ge ya like half of your tierlist of skills is already massivley different with ghost walk nerfs and dash bullet cd increase so prolly should give it another month or 2 before a beginers guide

iSpawners is so amazing 😃

The question isn't "would you take ispawners?" The question is "which do you take first, ispawners or cagerium?" The old recipe in terms of cost made Cagerium the obvious answer to that question. Might be a bit blurrier with the cheaper recipe. I took cagerium because I can sit a cage on top of a drawer and have it tied into a drawer controller and I'm done. That's it, it just sits there and works. I will get ispawners too, eventually.

@@jlpowell51 I think the really big thing has been the increase from 16 to 128 block range on the ispawner. You now don't even need to be near the spawner for it to work, meaning you can just stick it under your base with a damage trap and you're done

Yeah actually I didn't even think about that... Makes it even more difficult to get into

My thought was I've broken way more spawners than that and only have 5 dust, but then I realized ambush spawners break themselves.

Yeah absolutely, I have so many ideas but I can't make the super big ones that take me a week to make and then have it be redundant a week later 😅

Since they massively reduced crystal requirements, that's definitely more true but I still think ispawners is my favourite 😊

There's a few ways :) Normal hoppers will work for small quantities, stepping it up you can use ender hoppers from dark utilities and then my preferred setup is using modular routers ☺️

@Hellfirem4ge would be nice if you could cover up the whole update 7 once it comes out. Watching his streams is a bit all over the place with all the TTS and so on.

I've not come across that issue, it's been working perfectly fine for me 🙂 I would check in the official discord, there may be a known issue

You would need to craft one, normal spawners won't work unfortunately

Personally I would go for ispawners but that's just me 😃

Tbh it should be just a one time craft with infinite uses imo

Boss mob eggs have a chance at being rolled when you roll a hostile mob egg ☺️ There's also a list of animals that can be added to the cages linked in the description ☺️

I would say so personally

The lag doesn't actually come from the ispawners normally, it comes from not dealing with the mobs effectively. We ran a multi ispawner setup on the server with no issues at all 😊

@@Hellfirem4ge Fair enough... that's still lag that comes from usage of the mod though. On populated servers though, the difference between the two mods could end up making a significant impact. On smaller servers/single players I doubt it would make a difference. I'm on one of the official VH servers though, and over the last two resets, it basically got abandoned because of lag from OP farms. To be clear though, this was a really useful video! Sorry about the tone of my comment before. It gave me some really useful information :-)

It will be from the dark utilities set but you can use basically any damaging thing such as modular routers/create etc

They don't really affect anything anymore. They used to limit how many mobs could spawn but that got changed a while ago :)

Modular routers with round robin upgrades should be able to fix that issue ☺️

It may well be, you might as well just use animal pens anyway

By turning a mystery egg into a hostile mob egg and hope to get a boss egg in the roll.( boss eggs are rare) [see at time 5:14]. They start showing up after level 21 in living chest. You can also find them in bounties, markets in the vault, and loot crate's

What do you mean transport spawners?

There's an item in Botania called the Life Aggregator (I think, something like that) that may or may not be disabled

You can put 64 of the same type but there's no benefit over just putting 1

@@Hellfirem4ge awesome thanks for the reply I think it would be cool if they added it so the enemies stack (to reduce lag) but more eggs = more spawns

@Hellfirem4ge oo could u make a modular router video, please? like how it works with VH in particular. I'm new to modpacks, VH is my first one, so every mod in the pack is new to me, if cannot make one, then it is fine.

they can definitely spawn elder guardians because i tested that :P I'm not sure about the wither but i know the dragon doesnt work

Yeah I can definitely see that, but I guess an argument would be that it means you can focus on other things like building bases etc instead of having to build loads of mob farms
