Cahills Crossing in the Northern Territory of Australia is a unique and wonderful place, however never to be underestimated or fooled around with. The amount of Salt Water Crocodiles just hanging around this road crossing is unreal and a bit unnerving to be honest. The crossing in low tide is not difficult but you can never mess around where Salties are involved. Please have a watch, like, share and please subscribe to help out thus small channel. Thank you.....

Not particularly dangerous if you have local knowledge. For much of each dry season month, the tide doesn’t even reach the crossing. Safe, with care up to about half a metre, if you are in a 4WD, and take it slowly. When there is movement, drive on the opposite side to the direction of the flow. Also important to know where any slight holes are that can affect your progress. Even on the days of highest tides, the crossing is only under water for about two hours. Of course, in the wet season, you can’t get near it. The Magela Creek prevents access from Jabiru except with a boat, and on the Gunbalanya side, the road is under water for perhaps six or seven kilometres.
