I’d highly recommend playing Jusant for a taste of climbing done really well in a game. Great 4 hour game that knew what it was and did everything well. Looking forward to this considering it’s apparently more of a survival game, could add some interesting mechanics and stakes. Edit: also, this games lead developers father went on a mountain climbing expedition and apparently only returned with half his team, so it could be an interesting look into that traumatic experience.
Same game developers as Haven and Furi. Seems like the art direction is the one thing that stays consistent across these games, but they are all such vastly different games.
I was just joking with a coworker today about how they need to make a rock climbing game, where you can pick a buff sexy man or a buff sexy woman cause it'd sell for millions. Instead someone made an actual really great looking game :O
