There are platypus in Petersen Creek. But the farmer who’s land borders the creek has blocked the full walking path access due to the foot and mouth concerns raised last year. The sporting event was the Atherton High School cross country run. We enjoy a short getaway from home in Cairns, staying at the Lakeside Van opposite The Avenue of Honour.
