I’m in the Uk 🇬🇧 … know one is denying the greats who have become MPV’s & Goats from the previous seasons , but this years rookie draft has done one thing that others haven’t managed to do to the same extent that this draft has done, which is they carried their own fan base along, which they created from their time in college, which was due to the use and marketing of being able to use social media, but from this current draft CC stood head and shoulders above the rest. Just imagine if she had decided to take Ice Cubes offer and forget the WNBA, I don’t see the league getting the same attendances that they are getting than the Fever, yes they would have improved but know where to what they are currently. This is why she should be treated the same way that Jordan was by the NBA because he was about to be the face of the NBA and take them into the hemisphere . A rising tide raises all boats and CC is the tide … she has nothing but total respect of those who have come before her …. but their comes a time when you have to acknowledge that a new talent has come along and they are going to be pushing the needle.

The comments are funny. So much hate of both players. The most important overlooked fact for both is that both are on very bad teams. If you put either on the Aces or Liberty or Sun or Storm, both would be scoring much more and at higher percentages. Clark in particular is struggling initially because of all the doubles and triple teams and the team not having had enough time to practice and work out spacing. Both are great players and will be great in the league as they practice more and improve their rosters.

I’ve never loved a female athlete more than Angel. From her very first LSU game, I was in the LSU group chats like “OMG, I love her. She’s so fkn cocky” She’s dope. And the shit she has had to put up with from a certain player’s fans was INSANE. I’m loving watching her in the WNBA. It’s wild bc the NBA wasn’t doing great before the 80s. It was exactly as old as the WNBA is now. So, having these really great players with distinct personalities and fans who genuinely hate each other is good for the game.

The veiled rivalry feels real and definitely creates buzz and interest. Reese is un relenting and effective, but I think Rodman is the better analog for her game. Shows what a really good athlete, that competes non stop can accomplish. But not really much in the way of a polished multi-faceted game. Not a criticism, I admire what she accomplishes. The Sky are not overly likable unless you are one of their fans. A bit surly. Clark is Clark, the bag is deep in terms of skills and abilities and she is a Taurasi type competitor. Her team is a WIP. She's a rookie, but they are likable. There are a number of rookies that appear to have what it takes to be top players and also be fresh attractive personalities. Clark, Reese, Brink, Jackson, Martin, Edwards.....I probably missed others, my apologies.

To me, it's not about "You better watch what A'ja Wilson is doing." Maybe thats what Fisher meant, so I shouldn't pick on use word usage here. But once you turn on a game, A'ja will get your attention. Jewell Lloyd will get your attention. Arike will get yoru attention. Angel Reese and Chennedy Carter will get your attention. Despite the concern that the new Clark fans are "disrespecting" current players - which I personally havent seen, but might be there - I think once you turn on a game, you immediately see some ballers and learn of new players to root for.

OBSERVATION..you cant compare Reese to Magic. Magic wasnt a victim thug and self proclaimed bad role player. All words from Reese herself. Caitlin is similar to Bird. Bird and Magics name are synonymous. Caitlin and Reese are not. Its Caitlin, no Reese. There would be no Reese wout Caitlin. What is really sad for the Country. We have a female phenom basketball player. Prob close to best in world and a positive role model. Instead, people beat, harass and bully the heck out of her mentally and physically.....all behaviors that we would stand up and defend our kids against. People should be celebrating her accomplishments and thankful for this but its more common to rip somebody down, step on them and laugh if they make a mistake or fail. Bird and Magic were the ultimate competitors against each other. And they did everything they could to beat each other. But they didn't play how you play where you go for opponents' eyes and kick them and such actions. Honestly, you play like Reece does and try to injure players.
